“There have been a few murders in the last two years on this street since Kit has been here,” Roberts continues. “At this point, a suspicious death is almost par for the course.”

“We have five potential victims in this storyline,” Roberts notes, “and every single one of them has a reason why someone might want them gone.”

According to Roberts, the detective forms an early theory about who may be responsible.

“Oh, absolutely,” he says. “I think he has someone nailed down in his mind almost immediately.”

“He’s got his primary suspect,” Roberts explains, “but the tricky part is that everyone else on the street has their own suspicions too. It’s going to be a matter of Kit weeding through the noise to find the actual proof.”

“He’s looking for that one slip-up so he can pounce,” Roberts adds.
