Patty Williams’ Obsession with Jack Abbott

Patty was last heard from in Rivercrest, where she’s been confined since 2016. Patty Williams debuted in 1980, played by Tammy Taylor and then Lilibet Stern. During that time period she wed Jack but it was not meant to be.

Patty Williams’ History

Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) found Jack in bed with Diane Jenkins (then Alex Donnelley) before the ceremony and when Patty discovered Jack’s betrayal, she had a miscarriage.

This traumatic event understandably resulted in a downward spiral. Patty’s spiral got toxic and when she overheard Jack say his real reasons for marrying her, she shot him.

Patty was Married to Jack

From then on out, Patty was never quite the same. Later, Andrea Evans (One Life to Live) played the role from 1983 to 1984, when Patty became romantically involved with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). Next she simply vanished only to back a dramatic comeback years later.

Patty’s New Face

When Patty resurfaced she had a new face and identity, courtesy of Big Papi Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

She called herself Mary Jane Benson and insinuated herself into Jack’s life. But along the way she lost her sanity and eventually was placed in a helpful mental institution. But wait, there’s more!

Later, Patty escaped and became Dr. Emily Peterson, who Jack fell in love with and married. Once the truth came out, Patty was shipped back to the therapeutic center.

Patty Has a Few Issues

In 2011 Patty returned to Genoa City as Myrna Murdock, a housekeeper for Jack’s girlfriend, Genevieve Atkinson (Genie Francis).

Still fixated on Jack, Patty drugged him and Genevieve during Thanksgiving dinner and kissed Jack. Adam Newman found out, warned her to leave GC and she refused.

After Jack and Genevieve got engaged, odd things began happening getting Paul’s attention. Myrna ran off before Paul could question her then he discovered who she really was.

Patty Fooled Paul

Patty became violent when Adam found her hiding in a garden shed. His reward was to be knocked unconscious and blinded with insecticide.

But Patty outdid herself when she walked down the aisle hidden under the Genevieve’s dress. When Jack lifted the veil, she shot him! Patty ran to kind Father Todd’s church, where she was found and eventually committed to Fairview psychiatric institution.

Patty’s Illustrious Life

She escaped from there in 2012 and shot poor Jack again! This time she was sent to a psych facility at Walworth County Prison. But wait, there’s more!

The stealthy lady managed to escape in 2015, and the next year killed villainous Dr. Anderson before entering into a catatonic state.

Paul Saves the Day

That year, Paul got her back into Rivercrest, closer to Genoa City where he could visit her.
And this is where Patty resides today.

Fans are now speculating that Patty’s return somehow is connected to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) punishment for kidnapping Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark).
