The Young and the Restless Week of January 5: Mental Downward Spiral, Life-Changing Decisions and Danger Zone
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of January 5-9 reveal that fans will see a mental downward spiral, some life-changing decisions and the danger zone. Some twists and turns are on the way, so here’s what Y&R viewers can look forward to.
First, Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth) will make more enemies as additional Newmans land in his path.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will do their best to get a grip on the Matt situation, but some snags are looming.
Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) may be safely reunited with Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) sooner or later, but Matt won’t be done wreaking havoc on Nick, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and plenty of other Genoa City residents.
There’ll be a moment when it seems the Matt storm has passed in the coming episodes, but Matt will ultimately come roaring back for one last round of dangerous drama.
As for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), she’ll have to figure out whether to trust her head or her heart.
Lily’s head keeps telling her Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is a liar who’s incapable of change, but her heart is pulling her closer thanks to familiar sparks.
Cane and Lily shared a kiss on New Year’s Eve, but what does that mean for their future?
Furthermore, how will Christel Khalil’s upcoming maternity leave affect Lily and Cane’s love story?
Over with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), it looks like he’ll back out of telling Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) the whole truth about Los Angeles.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) should be relieved on some level, but another part of her will continue to worry about Claire wearing Holden down.
As for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), will his decision to give up on Claire romantically change their plans for an Audra takedown alliance?
Claire and Kyle will have to decide whether they’re still willing to work together to get rid of Audra.
However, Kyle’s priority will continue to be helping Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) save Jabot from Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) threat.
Jack and Victor’s rivalry will come with some dirty moves on both sides, so stay tuned for updates on all the shocking news and fierce showdowns.
Next, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will struggle with some inner turmoil.
Although Billy knows he needs to behave if he wants to keep Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) in his life, he may risk everything for the sake of a vengeful Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) alliance soon.
Over with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), her mind will continue to play tricks on her.
Mariah appears to be headed for a mental break that’ll drive her to some pretty wild places.
Behind-the-scenes clues point to Mariah kidnapping Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (last played by Rainn and River Ware) at some point in the coming weeks.
That should be part of a major mystery arc that involves Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Winters (Bryton James) eventually.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the week of January 5-9 will put some important pieces in place for multiple storylines, so stick with the CBS soap.
