The Young and the Restless Wednesday, January 14 Recap: No Deal for Victor – Nick’s Hospital Breakout
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, January 14, reveals that there’ll be no deal for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) makes an urgent hospital breakout.
On Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) train, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will gloat to Victor about them becoming the new victors and owning Newman Enterprises.
Victor will offer to restore Arabesque if Cane stops all this, but Cane will insist there’ll be no buyout price – not after the way Victor tarnished Colin Ashby’s (Tristan Rogers) legacy.
However, Cane will ultimately throw Victor a bone and suggest he’ll sell Arabesque to him for pennies on the dollar.
Victor won’t go for that and will assume every man has his price, but Cane and Phyllis will stand their ground.
In the end, Victor will make it clear that Phyllis and Cane are going to regret this – especially Phyllis once Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) loathes her for what she did to the Newman family.
Once Cane and Phyllis head to Society on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, he’ll question if she’s regretting their plan.
Phyllis will assure Cane that she’s all in, so he’ll suggest that’s good since things are about to go nuclear.
“Oh, Cane. Don’t you realize? It already has!” Phyllis will say with a satisfied smile.
At the Newman ranch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will give Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) updates on the AI program situation.
There’ll also be some talk about Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) bouncing back from her illness enough to work from home and help do damage control.
Once Victor returns home and admits he failed to make a deal with Cane, he’ll confess they may have to start selling bits and pieces of Newman Enterprises.
Nikki will wonder how Victor could let this happen and will blame him for not destroying the AI program when she begged him, too.
Victor will fire back at Nikki since he’ll think Cane and Phyllis are the ones to blame here.
As for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), he’ll visit Nick at the hospital with some bad news.
Nick will hear about the Abbotts having Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) in their custody after a botched deal with Victor.
When Nick wonders what could be more important than ending the Matt nightmare, Adam will admit the AI crisis.
Nick will also find out that Victor suspects Cane and Phyllis are responsible.
Nick will worry about Matt since he’s not behind bars yet and will want to pitch in with the Newman Enterprises drama, too. In the end, Adam won’t be able to stop injured Nick from dragging himself out of bed and checking himself out of the hospital.
Once Nick and Adam head to the Newman ranch, there’ll be plenty of concerns about Nick leaving the hospital too soon.
Nick will be determined to help his family and will mention that he’s the only one who might be able to get through to Phyllis.
At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cottage, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) will be asleep while Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) talks to his mom about wanting Matt locked up or deceased.
Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will eventually stop by, so she’ll get some positive info on Nick’s recovery and explain to Sharon how she knows Sienna.
In a moment alone with Sharon, Tessa will fill her in on Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) leaving the clinic and insisting no one should expect to hear from her.
Sharon will blame herself a bit since she’s been so focused on Matt and Noah, but Tessa won’t think Mariah wanted to let anyone in.
Since Tessa just can’t do this anymore, she’ll tell Sharon that she’s getting a divorce.
Sharon will wonder if Tessa’s sure about this and will suggest maybe she should wait until Mariah comes home to explain herself.
Tessa won’t be certain that Mariah is coming home at all – and if she does, Tessa will suggest it might be to just grab her things and leave again.
Although Tessa won’t be able to live in this limbo anymore, she’ll thank Sharon for all the support and accept her comforting hug.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah’s on the verve of making some wild moves that’ll lead to chaos, so stay tuned.
