The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may be doomed for more Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) heartbreak. There’s one very specific reason why this reunion probably won’t work in the end.

Victoria was crushed over Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) demise, but she’s spent some time grieving and finding a path forward.

That path has brought Victoria closer to Nate, so they’ve reconnected and consider themselves good friends at this point.

Of course, Nate has been trying to cope with a bad breakup. Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) has been a hard woman to get over, so Nate’s still working on that and dealing with all his messy feelings.

That said, Y&R fans can tell that Victoria and Nate enjoy each other’s company.

There’s a spark between Nate and Victoria, so they seem poised to embrace a romantic reunion sooner or later.

However, Victoria and Nate may eventually realize there’s a good reason why their relationship didn’t work before and won’t work again.

In Y&R’s February 11 episode, Victoria chose to say nothing about Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) role in the Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) kidnapping saga.

Instead of coming clean about Victor’s ruse with Lily or the plot to dupe Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), Victoria left Nate in the dark.

That may be the biggest sign that Nate and Victoria’s reunion story won’t let them live happily ever after.

Victoria is proving that she’s always going to put the Newmans above all else and that Nate will never come first in her heart.

Newman drama helped drive Victoria and Nate apart the last time they tried to make a romance work.

Victoria and Nate may not have a very bright future ahead if Victoria constantly sides with her family and leaves Nate feeling like an outsider.

Bottom line, Nate and Victoria may face more heartache, so stay tuned for updates on any familiar bumps in the road.
