The Young and the Restless Tuesday, March 17 Recap: Diane Packs Bags After Rejecting Jack’s Ecstasy Excuse

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, March 17, reveals that Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will make a big decision after Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) tries and fails to explain the horror of what happened.

On the yacht, Jack will admit he deserved Diane’s slap, but he’ll push for a chance to explain if he can.

After Jack insists he was drugged with something, he’ll guess maybe it was ecstasy since it made him feel totally euphoric.

Diane will snap that ecstasy isn’t mind control and will still feel like Jack should’ve been able to resist Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), who was just as high as Jack was according to him.

After Patty stomps off, she’ll complain to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about Jack crawling into bed with that “dirty skank” and blaming it on drugs.

Kyle will be sympathetic, but he’ll point out that they can’t leave Jack there and have to take him home with them.

Meanwhile, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will grill Jack, who’ll once again bring up the fact that he was drugged.

Jack will make it clear that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is responsible and is going to pay for this mess.

Billy will also plan to get Patty off the yacht first and make sure her story about being freed from the psychiatric facility is legit.

After a silent, awkward drive home, Jack will grab a drink and sulk in the dining room.

Billy will hope that Jack and Diane can work things out before letting Jack know that he loves him.

Then, it’ll be Kyle’s turn to join Jack at the dining room table and await some answers from his father.

Back with Diane on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, she’ll pack her bags and look distraught as she walks out the front door.

At the Newman ranch, Victor will act like Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) only cares about saving her precious Jack and will suggest she’s putting Jack above her marriage to him.

Since Nikki isn’t interested in helping Victor save the Newman empire, he’ll once again push her to leave.

Nikki will reel over Victor kicking her out of the house he gave her as a gift and will hope he can live with himself.

At the GCAC, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will bicker with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) before insisting she’s done trying to help him get back Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and the twins.

Later, Phyllis will spot Nikki and assume Victor threw her out after their conversation about Jack’s abduction went poorly.

Once Victor summons Phyllis to the ranch so they can finish their business, she’ll take off.

Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will come along and find Nikki in distress, so Nikki will admit she left the house after things got ugly.

Although Claire will hope they can fix things as usual, Nikki will feel like Victor’s really gone too far this time.

At the coffeehouse, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will speak with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about moving forward with her Milan plan after all.

When Nate brings up his concerns about Lily and the twins, Victoria will act like it’ll all be over soon.

Nate will find that comment suspicious and wonder if Victoria knows something, but she’ll act like she was just being optimistic.

Victoria will suggest maybe Lily took the twins on vacation, but Nate will argue that she’d be sending way too many pictures if that were the case.

Nate will reveal that he confronted Victor about Lily’s possible abduction with Devon Winters (Bryton James) and got the runaround.

Cane will come along and push for answers from Victoria, so Nate will realize Victor really is behind Lily and the twins’ disappearance when Cane shows photographic evidence.

Victoria will deny any knowledge of this and take off, so Cane will fume over Nate buying her story.

Nate will blame Cane for what happened, so Cane will admit he set this in motion and will want to change things from here on out.

Back at the ranch, Victor will push Phyllis to strike the deal they discussed: Chancellor for Jack.

Phyllis will remind Victor that he pushed for more and wanted the whole Newman empire for Jack’s return.

That’ll leave Phyllis wondering what changed and why Victor is suddenly willing to take less.

Victor will keep pressuring Phyllis until she caves in, so he’ll send some texts and instruct his lawyers to send over the signed contracts.

Phyllis will refuse to leave until she knows Jack is safe, so Victor will insist he can take care of that, too.

Victor will claim it’s done and that Jack’s a free man, so Phyllis will gloat about playing Victor’s game and winning.

Of course, Victor won’t tell Phyllis that Jack was already free and that there was no need for her to make this deal at all!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will get some infuriating news soon, so stay tuned.
