The Young and the Restless Thursday, March 5 Recap: Jack’s Stuck in the Ocean, Victor’s Yacht Captive
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, March 5, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have a horrifying realization after waking up in captivity. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will leave Jack in a terrible predicament, so let’s discuss what’s ahead on Y&R.
For starters, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will try to act like Victor’s bluffing, but Victor will insist Jack’s life is at stake and push him to sign over Chancellor before the day’s over.
Billy will head to the Abbott mansion and grill Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), who’ll reveal that Jack supposedly texted about some last-minute Chicago business.
However, Billy won’t think that’s true now that he’s heard Victor’s news and ultimatum.
Once Billy tells Kyle and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) about Victor kidnapping Jack to force his hand at Chancellor, Diane and Kyle will want to confront Victor themselves.
At the Newman ranch, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will complain about Victor’s tactics, but he’ll admit his loyalty is always to his father.
After Diane and Kyle arrive, they’ll blast him over the abduction plot and demand to know where Jack is.
Victor will insist Jack’s safe “for now,” so Kyle and Jack will worry about what could happen next.
Kyle will threaten to call the cops, but Victor will suggest there’s no proof of a crime.
Diane will convince Kyle to put his phone away, but Kyle will vow to destroy Victor if he hurts Jack.
Victor will insist Kyle and Diane need to focus on getting Billy to surrender Chancellor.
At Billy’s place, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will show up for a work meeting with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who’ll confirm she’s back together with Billy.
Audra will have some concerns, but she’ll know she’s the last person who should be judging anyone’s love life.
Sally will assure Audra that Billy genuinely listened this time and will finally think he’s right about having it all.
This is about Sally choosing love over fear, so she’ll feel good about her decision.
Once Billy returns, he’ll ask to speak with Sally privately. That’ll give Billy a chance to bring Sally up to speed on the whole Jack kidnapping situation.
Billy will acknowledge that since the contract isn’t finalized, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is still in charge of Chancellor.
Although Billy will hope to rectify that and get his contact locked in, he’ll hate the idea of handing Chancellor back over to Victor.
At the same time, Billy won’t underestimate Victor’s disdain for Jack and what Victor is capable of when he’s spinning out like this.
Sally will get that Billy’s in a tight spot and will work to comfort him. Billy will point out that until he has proof that Jack’s OK, Victor will get nothing.
As for Jack, he’ll wake up on a bed and seem disoriented as he tries to focus on the room around him. Jack will try the door and find that it’s locked.
It’ll eventually become clear that it’s a yacht cabin since Jack will look out the tiny window and find that he’s surrounded by water!
A wider shot will confirm that Jack’s indeed on a yacht in the middle of the ocean.
At Crimson Lights, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will open up to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about her trip to Los Angeles and her disturbing realization.
Since Claire had been so focused on plotting to hurt Audra, she’ll fear she was becoming like Jordan (Colleen Zenk).
Victoria will argue that Jordan wouldn’t have stopped with angry thoughts and will assure Claire that she could never truly be like her.
Claire will eventually find out Victor’s keeping Victoria in the dark on his newest plan.
Victoria will gripe about Victor always wanting to fix everything himself in times of crisis, but Claire will feel like Victoria is the same way.
Although Victoria let Victor and the others talk her out of her Milan mission, Claire will give her mom a nudge to trust her own instincts and go for it.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say both Claire and Victoria have some shockers ahead of them, so stay tuned.
