The Young and the Restless Thursday, January 15 Recap: Nick Pops Pills – Cane Offers Billy Chancellor

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, January 15, reveals that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will pop pills after slamming Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will also offer Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) Chancellor Industries, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.

When Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) gets out of bed and spots Billy’s note about going for a run, it’ll set off some alarm bells.

Sally will summon Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to Society, where she’ll offer updates on her latest suspicions and concerns.

Audra will get why Sally would worry, but she’ll also wonder if it’d really be so bad if Billy reverted to his former self and his Chancellor obsession.

Meanwhile, injured Nick will be waiting for Phyllis and Cane when they return to Cane’s train.

Cane will briefly be part of the conflict, but he’ll dash off after getting Billy’s text to meet.

At Crimson Lights, Billy will admit he couldn’t sleep and doesn’t want to wait until morning to hear what Cane has to say.

When Billy wonders if this meeting is about a warning or an offer, Cane will confirm it’s the latter.

Cane will insist Billy can have Chancellor no strings attached if he’s still interested and will suggest it can be a peace offering. Billy will need a little time to think about it, but Cane won’t be willing to wait long.

In the end, Billy will agree to give Cane an answer in the morning and will shake hands with him as Sally spies nearby.

Sally will hurl a bunch of questions at Billy in the aftermath, so he’ll confess that Cane just offered him Chancellor free and clear.

Back on Cane’s train, Nick will explode at Phyllis for her role in decimating Newman Enterprises.

Since they’ll always be connected through Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier), Nick will feel like Phyllis is targeting her extended family.

Phyllis will think Nick should know better than anyone that she deserves a win after the year she’s had.

Nick will basically warn that Summer’s going to be disgusted with Phyllis, but she’ll think she can smooth things over and will refuse to back down.

With that in mind, Nick will vow to grind Phyllis and her “punk partner” Cane to dust. In fact, Nick will think he’s going to enjoy it!

Afterward, Cane will reconvene with Phyllis and sense that she’s upset after her confrontation with Nick.

There’ll be some talk about Summer and whether Phyllis will really be able to repair the damage.

Cane will need someone who’s committed to this Newman takeover, so he’ll give Phyllis the chance to back out now.

If this venture isn’t worth risking Phyllis’ relationship with her children, Cane will understand.

Phyllis will assure Cane that she’s all in until the end and will make it clear that the Newmans don’t scare her.

As for Nick and his injured leg, he’ll be in a ton of pain throughout the entire episode.

By the time Nick hobbles in the mansion and plops down on the sofa, he’ll be in agony.

Nick will pop pills and mutter to himself about needing a refill soon.

After Nick gets Summer on the phone, he’ll struggle to get through the call as he grunts and lies about having a simple headache.

Nick will admit he called Summer about something important, so he’ll presumably prepare to give her news on Newman’s AI nightmare and Phyllis’ involvement.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer’s sure to lash out at Phyllis soon, so stay tuned!
