The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Summer Newman’s (last played by Allison Lanier) Genoa City return has seemingly been locked in. Will Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) Marchetti gift seal her daughter’s future and bring her back to town?

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) recently made Phyllis a “generational wealth” offer and suggested she could name her price.

The Abbotts are willing to pay just about anything if it means securing Phyllis’ help stealing the AI program back from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

In Y&R’s December 19 episode, Phyllis insisted she wanted Marchetti signed over to Summer.

Phyllis is only willing to work with the Abbotts if Summer scores total Marchetti ownership, but that’s a deal Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and the others should be willing to make.

Of course, we can’t ignore how often Summer’s name has been mentioned lately.

Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) made a phone call to his sister and later gave Phyllis updates on the conclusions they drew about her shady behavior.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) also called Summer to discuss Jabot and the possibility of Summer convincing Victor to stand down.

Now Phyllis is making this Abbott deal all about Summer and Marchetti, so the writing’s on the wall when it comes to Summer’s comeback.

It seems like Summer’s return is already in the works since the show’s dropping so many hints.

Is Y&R recasting Summer again? The big trend with soaps lately has been snatching up actors from other daytime dramas, so maybe that trend will continue.

Regardless, Summer’s return may be coming sooner rather than later.

Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) needs his adoptive mom around, so he could be a big reason why Summer decides to make the move back to GC.

Phyllis hinted to Daniel that she was working on a way to bring their family together for good.

This Marchetti angle may be exactly what Phyllis has in mind if she wants Summer to relocate to Genoa City and hire her along with Daniel.

You can bet Summer’s in for a shock when she finds out about Phyllis bargaining with the Abbotts and working to score Marchetti control for her.
