The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of December 22-26 reveal that Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth) will move forward with a horrific Newman plot while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) contemplates a sacrifice. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will also have a tough choice to make, so there’ll be a lot happening in Genoa City.

For starters, Michael will weigh his options after Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) pleads for his assistance.

It sounds like Diane will push Michael to turn against Victor and help the Abbotts instead, but will Michael’s loyalty to Victor win out?

Next, Matt will make some sneaky moves along with dirty Detective Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge), who’ll plot a Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) ambush on Matt’s orders.

While Annie’s busy targeting Sienna, it’ll free Matt up to concentrate on the Newmans.

Victor, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will obviously be caught up in this mess, but they won’t be the only ones!

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and others with a Newman connection could be targeted as well.

No one tied to the Newman clan will be safe since Matt’s going after this family in a big way!

However, Matt’s mission for leverage will be put on hold during the Christmas Eve festivities.

December 24 will bring a special episode that’s all about coming together and embracing the holiday spirit.

Victor and Nikki will get a heartwarming reminder, so they’ll obviously find a way to work through the conflict over his attack on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Jabot.

Could Victor make a huge sacrifice for Nikki and agree to back off Jack?

Nikki isn’t sure she can forgive Victor if he destroys Jabot, so there’s a chance Victor could give his wife a surprising Christmas gift this year.

Over with Jack and Diane, they’ll have a romantic holiday celebration of their own.

A quiet night in will be exactly what Diane and Jack need this Christmas Eve.

Once Christmas Day gets underway, Y&R will deliver a blast-from-the-past episode from 2010.

That’ll bring some holiday ghosts for Victor to contend with as the show re-airs a Christmas classic on December 25.
