The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Las Vegas may have been a mere decoy placed to keep Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) out of Genoa City so that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) could launch an ambush on the little town.

It feels a little too convenient that Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani) is Matt’s associate and also has a past ties with Adam when he was known as “Spider” when he lived in Sin City.

Could it be that Matt has concocted a plan to get Nick and Adam out of Genoa City so he could launch a surprise attack on Noah Newman (Lucas Adams)?

The young man did offer up some pretty big threats via text during the Wednesday, March 18 show, but fans know he’s no match for the old-school villain.

With that said, as Riza is slated to re-appear on the soap this coming Monday, March 23, as she ‘reunites’ with Adam.

Adam believes his ties with Riza will allow him to track Matt down and help his brother Nick end the man’s reign of terror, but they may have another thing coming.

Riza could have some clear marching orders from Matt: keep the Newman brothers preoccupied in Vegas by playing mind games.

He may also ask her to put them on a wild goose chase to buy him some time while he takes GC by storm, potentially kidnapping Noah, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), and even Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).

Although, since Matt has already held Sienna and Noah hostage, he may focus on Sharon this time around.

Considering their history and how he sexually assaulted the woman when they were younger, Matt may decide to keep her captive and torture the woman.

After all, his rivalries with Nick and Noah really stem from his past with Sharon – some he “loved” and was obsessed with – so Matt’s next chapter might center on torturing Sharon.

Matt also knows that Sharon being alone with him would completely get under Nick’s skin.

The Young and the Restless spoilers note that Nick and Adam being out of town would create a perfect storm for Matt to swoop into GC to cause drama and chaos, so fans need to stay tuned to the CBS soap to see what happens next in this saga!
