The Young and the Restless Monday, January 5 Update: Victor Gut Punches Matt – Monster’s Car Ride Goes Off the Rails

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, January 5, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will gut punch Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) before the monster’s car ride goes off the rails.

At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) place, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will offer updates on Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) security team cornering Matt.

Although Matt would normally spot a tail, the Newmans will manage to outsmart him with a drone.

Once Sharon and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) insist on going with Nick, Y&R spoilers say they’ll all grow frustrated over a traffic delay in the car.

Victor will get the latest news over the phone and downplay any personal danger when Adam worries about his dad putting himself in harm’s way.

Victor will insist Nick’s taking the lead on this – and Nick indeed will soon enough.

At the motel, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) will basically do her own version of good cop, bad cop.

Sienna will go back and forth between trying to appeal to the “Mitch” she fell in love with and treating him like a total monster.

After Matt suggests Sienna’s charms don’t work on him anymore, he’ll confirm he’s truly Matt Clark and that he’s going to live up to his dangerous reputation.

Once Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) joins Matt, they’ll take Sienna outside and prepare for her grim fate.

Matt will try to kiss Sienna goodbye, but she’ll bite his lip and get put in a chokehold for it.

Matt will leave it up to Annie when it comes to deciding how Sienna should die.

Annie will try to shove Sienna in the car, but the Newman security team will arrive along with Nick, Sharon and Noah.

Annie will have to drop her weapon and get on the ground along with Matt. When Sienna races over for Noah’s comforting hug, Matt will glare at them.

Matt will guess the police are on the way and will wonder how many of the cops are in the Newmans’ pocket.

Nick will admit he’s got other plans and will take Matt to the Newman ranch, where Victor and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be waiting.

After Adam meets Matt, he’ll make a comment about Matt not being too bright.

Matt will act like he can hold his own, but then Victor will deliver a blow to the gut and leave him doubled over.

Once Nick makes it clear that Matt’s never going near his family again, he’ll plan to see to that personally.

Based on Adam and Victor’s comments after Nick exits with Matt, it’ll seem like Nick’s going to eliminate him.

However, Matt won’t think Nick has that killer instinct and will push his buttons while zip-tied in the backseat.

Nick will be busy driving and listening to Matt taunt him about Sharon, so he won’t realize Matt’s busy maneuvering his wrists in front of him.

After Matt throws his linked arms around Nick’s neck, he’ll pull tight and leave Nick scrambling.

Nick’s hands will fly off the wheel and up to his neck as he tries to free himself.

While Nick loses control of the vehicle, Sharon and Noah will help Sienna process the awful experience she just went through.

Sienna will be beyond grateful for everything the Newmans did to save her life.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Newmans will have to adjust their strategy if this Matt crisis leads to him escaping as expected.
