The Young and the Restless Monday, December 22 Recap: Kyle Permanent Breakup – Victor’s 2 Warnings for Claire
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, December 22, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will have a realization about his possibly permanent breakup while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) delivers two warnings to Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
At Society, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will give Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) updates on her ugly fight with Victor and how she said she’d leave him over the AI program threat against the Abbotts.
Victoria will be proud of Nikki for standing her ground, but she’ll also worry it won’t change Victor’s mind.
At the Newman ranch, Claire will confront Victor over the AI threat and how he used Newman Media to exploit Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) defense strategy.
Victor will act like Jack’s paranoia is to blame for his downfall, but Claire won’t see it that way and will question why he hates Jack so much.
Despite Claire’s belief that Jack is a decent man, Victor will run down his list of offenses and call him a “manipulative son of a bitch.”
However, Victor will eventually try to steer the conversation to Claire’s love life.
After Victor insists Claire won’t find the answers she’s seeking with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), he’ll warn her about his dubious character and try to pump the brakes on their involvement.
Victor will be pleased when Claire says nothing serious is going on with Holden, but she won’t think it’s his place to tell her who she can and can’t see.
After Victor admits he’s glad her dalliance with Kyle is over, he’ll warn Claire away from the Abbotts since something’s coming down the pike and he won’t want her in the crosshairs.
Later, Claire will meet up with Victoria and give her the scoop on her conversation with Victor.
Victoria will also give Claire the latest news about Nikki, so they’ll both worry about the fate of Nikki and Victor’s marriage.
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will talk to Jack about a present he bought for Claire a while back and decided to wrap.
Kyle will worry about giving it to Claire since everything he does seems to be taken as an act of manipulation.
After Kyle mentions Claire turning into a different person in Los Angeles, he’ll wonder if she likes that lifestyle now.
Kyle won’t know if he can hold Claire back from whatever wild side she wants to explore.
As Kyle voices his frustration, he’ll also wonder how long he can keep putting his life on hold, especially when it seems like Claire’s trying to let go of what they shared.
In the end, Kyle will consider the idea that maybe a clean break is what’s best.
Once Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) arrives, he’ll tell Jack and Kyle about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) demanding that they sign over Marchetti to Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) in exchange for her help.
After Jack gets a text from Nikki, he’ll meet up with her at Society.
Nikki will blow Jack away when she reveals that she threatened to leave Victor and that his constant attacks on Jack have to stop for good.
At the Newman ranch, Victor will flash back to Jack putting Nikki in danger with his relapse and then remember his latest fight with Nikki, too.
Back with Kyle on Monday’s Y&R episode, he’ll praise the changes Billy’s made in his life and hope his uncle continues down this positive path.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy could face some new challenges soon, so stay tuned!
