The Young and the Restless Monday, December 15 Recap: Scandal Rocks Launch Party, Adam Burns Jabot in the Media

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, December 15, reveals that a scandal will rock the launch party after Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) burns Jabot in the media.
In the jazz lounge, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will give Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) one last pep talk before their big event kicks off.
Meanwhile, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will pull away from his make-out session with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) on the coffeehouse patio.
Although Cane will insist that was a mistake and maintain that Phyllis is his enemy, she’ll remind him that sleeping with the enemy is a thing.
Cane will eventually lean in like he’s going to kiss Phyllis again before insisting there’s “no way in hell,” so he’ll saunter out and leave her all alone.
Once Phyllis bumps into Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Daniel will realize Phyllis is going to the launch party and might stir up trouble.
Since Phyllis got a last-minute invite, she’ll push Daniel to be her plus one.
Daniel will admit he got his own invitation, so he’ll convince Tessa to come along too despite Phyllis not seeming thrilled about it.
At the GCAC, Cane will approach Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) at the bar, but she’ll send him off to Fenmore’s since he won’t be wearing the 50s attire they agreed upon.
After Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) arrive, they’ll quiz Lily about Cane and leave her trying to change the subject.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will pop back up and join the conversation, so it’ll come out that Lily’s going to the launch party with Cane.
Devon won’t be happy about that and will hope the evening doesn’t lead to any sort of reconciliation.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will arrive to accompany Nate to the gathering, but Nate will insist they’ve just reconnected as friends.
Adam will show up with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but he’ll have to leave after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) summons him to the ranch.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will show up next, so there’ll be some concerns about what Adam’s up to as he exits in a hurry.
Cane will eventually return in more appropriate clothing and will end up flirting with Lily at the bar in the jazz lounge.
After Phyllis walks in with Daniel and Tessa, Lily will pick up on the tension and get Cane’s confirmation that he’s truly done with Phyllis.
Billy will also try to throw Cane out of the party, but Sally will settle him down and get him to let it go.
At the Newman ranch, Victor will drop ominous hints to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) before Adam appears.
Now that Jabot has taken steps to go offline, Victor will make it clear that his real goal is going after Jack.
Victor will want to use Jack’s precautions against him, so he’ll push Adam to blow up the Jabot shutdown through Newman Media.
It’ll turn into a big scandal that gets everyone’s attention on their phones at the Abbott Communications launch.
While Sally’s making her speech, there’ll be notifications as everyone starts checking to see what the fuss is about.
While Jack and Diane reel over Victor’s bold move, Chelsea will get blindsided and confirm to Victoria that she was in the dark on this.
It’ll leave Chelsea frustrated over Adam following Victor’s orders once again.
Back at the ranch on Monday’s Y&R episode, Victor will toast to Jack being the architect of his own downfall.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack won’t back down from this fight, so we’ll bring you updates on any retaliation news ahead.
