The Young and the Restless Monday, December 1 Recap: Jack’s 3-Month Jabot Shutdown – Cane Stops Lily & Phyllis’ Fight

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, December 1, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will propose a three-month Jabot shutdown while Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) stops Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) fight.
At the Newman ranch, Cane will show up to admit defeat and offer to sell Arabesque to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for pennies on the dollar.
All Cane will want in return is his original investment in the company, but Victor will refuse to come to his rescue.
After Cane bickers with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and tries to talk Victor into the deal, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will appear.
Nikki won’t be happy about Cane’s presence in her home, but he’ll be wrapping up the conversation anyway.
Victor will eventually tell Cane that he’ll consider his proposal, but he’ll privately tell Nikki, Adam and Chelsea that he’s going to ground Cane to dust.
The goal will be to let Cane twist in the wind and then scoop up what they want of Arabesque once he’s truly desperate and destroyed.
At the GCAC on Monday’s Y&R episode, Phyllis will encounter Lily and argue with her over Cane.
After Phyllis accuses Lily of dangling the carrot and beating Cane over the head with it, Lily will take jabs over Phyllis slithering her way into Cane’s bed.
Lily will assume Phyllis wants to keep Aristotle Dumas around and will call them a “match made in hell.”
Phyllis, on the other hand, will feel like Lily’s trying to make Cane live up to impossible standards.
After Phyllis says Lily is manipulating Cane, he’ll pop up and insist no one manipulates him.
Lily and Phyllis will continue letting all the tension erupt, so Cane will finally shout that’s enough.
Lily will leave in a huff while Cane scolds Phyllis for always stirring up trouble.
Phyllis will reiterate that Cane needs to choose a side, so Cane will angrily declare that he’s indeed picked a side and knows which direction he’s going in.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack will talk to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about the stolen AI program.
Since Jack will assume Victor is waiting for the perfect moment to strike, he’ll guess Victor intends on the Abbott Communications launch party being a distraction.
That’ll only give the Abbotts a few days to protect themselves.
Jack will point out that if the program gets inside their system, it’s game over.
Their best chance at defeating Victor will be to stop him from infiltrating with that program, so Jack will propose shutting everything down.
Jack will think they have to take Jabot completely offline for three months or possibly a little longer.
Although that will mean the next quarter will be a disaster, Jack will think that’s better than Victor destroying the whole company.
Of course, there’ll be concerns about whether Jabot can recover from the shutdown, but Jack will think it’s worth the risk.
This would buy them some time to figure out a better solution and eliminate Victor’s threat.
Diane, Kyle and Billy will ultimately get on board, but Jack will refuse to proceed without everyone’s approval.
That means it’ll be up to Ashley and Traci to decide if this plan moves forward.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Abbott-Newman feud will come with some twists and turns, so stay tuned any shocking news to come!
