The Young and the Restless’ Joshua Morrow Leaks ‘Something Horrible’ – Here’s How Addiction Ends in Disaster
Comments: Leave Comments Related : Hot News , Soap Opera , Spoiler , Television , The Young and the Restless The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is currently on quite the emotional rollercoaster due to his drug use. Nick’s stuck on a horrible ride that may be impossible to get off on his own. It all started with the car crash that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) caused and the painkillers that followed for Nick’s injured leg.
Nick checked himself out of the hospital early to go hunting for Matt and kept pushing himself way too hard.
That led to more pain and more pills as a result. Nick ultimately switched to fentanyl and just scored more of it in Vegas along with that “bonus” drug baggie.
Although Nick thinks he can handle this, it’s obvious that he’s in over his head. Nick’s loved ones are already suspicious of his strange behavior, which is happening due to all the stages of drug use he’s going through.

In an interview with SOD, Joshua Morrow addressed the challenges of this storyline and how he wants to get it right.
Morrow was surprised to learn Nick was headed down this drug-addicted road, but it’s an opportunity that he quickly got on board with. “When you’re watching it, I was hoping people would feel something,” Morrow said. “I wanted them to see this character going on this journey and spiraling, and hopefully he’ll come out of it and maybe even be a better person.” Of course, Morrow has to admit he has a problem before he can truly conquer his addiction and come out stronger on the other side.
Unfortunately, Y&R spoilers say things are going to get worse for Nick before they get better.
At this point, Nick is still in his usual mindset of not asking for help. Since Nick is normally a heroic character who steps up for others, he doesn’t want to be the one in need of assistance.
However, Joshua Morrow hinted about a major attitude adjustment for Nick as this storyline moves along. There’ll come a day when Morrow will see that actions have consequences and not just for himself.
“This is all about just finding some way to get to the next day, just so he can navigate it,” Morrow said.
“But if, because of this addiction, he did something horrible, that somebody he loved got injured or somebody he really cared about paid for it, that would be rock bottom for him.” Will Nick pass out on drugs and be unable to help Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in a risky Matt showdown? Could Nick end up so drugged out of his mind that he attacks Adam thinking he’s Matt? Whatever the case, Nick may be the reason Adam gets injured if his hint is any indication.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick has some awful news ahead no matter what, so stay tuned!
