The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) recently revealed a health issue that forced him off set.

On Braeden’s official Facebook page, he posted a video on March 23 and explained why he hadn’t talked to fans in a while.

Eric Braden revealed that he had pneumonia for about two weeks, but he also had good news and assured everyone that he’s “over that now.”

After Braeden said multiple family members had been dealing with illness recently, he admitted his recovery was a bit harder due to his age.

However, Braeden reiterated that he’s back on track with his health “thanks to modern medicine, thanks to antibiotics.”

That said, Braeden acknowledged that pneumonia “is no walk in the park” and that it “hits you like a ton of bricks.”

Since Braeden is someone who likes to stay physically active, he mentioned that he’s working out again.

Braeden stressed the importance of easing into those workouts and avoiding coming back at a level of intensity that was too high.

Although Braeden’s pneumonia kept him away from the studio for a couple weeks, it doesn’t sound like it’ll affect things on-screen for Victor Newman.

Braeden explained that he made up for not being there by pulling double duty for a while and catching up over two or three weeks.

“But we survived it…I love being back to work. Love being back with my colleagues,” Braeden confirmed.

The Y&R star rattled off a list of castmates that he enjoyed seeing again, which included Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman), Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman), Mark Grossman (Adam Newman), Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers).

It’s clear that Eric Braeden is committed to showing up and delivering great performances as Victor, even when there are health bumps in the road to conquer.

As for what’s ahead in Genoa City, more marriage problems are ahead for Nikki and Victor.

It looks like the Abbotts will be fighting for revenge on Victor as well thanks to Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) abduction drama and the Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) fiasco Victor unleashed.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will continue to make some controversial moves and some serious waves in GC, so stay tuned.
