grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”

What channel or network will The Madison air on?
There has been no official announcement regarding what channel or network The Madison will air on. Weird, right? There are really only two options though; it can follow in Yellowstone’s bootprints and air on Paramount Network, or most likely, it will stream on Paramount+ and boost that streaming service. It can also air on both, debuting on Paramount Network and simulcasting on Paramount+ or streaming there the next day. The Hollywood Reporter says The Madison will stream on Paramount+, but doesn’t say whether it will air somewhere else first.
Pfeiffer was announced as the star of The Madison in August 2024, and filming began in September 2024. Dallas and Fort Worth provided many of the locations for the series, as reported by local news outlets. Downtown Dallas even appeared to stand-in for New York City. Deadline reports that The Madison already has a good shot at an early renewal for a second season.
Who is in The Madison?
Though filming wrapped in December 2024, Kurt Russell was only confirmed as a cast member in September 2025. He joins a cast led by Pfeiffer and Patrick J. Adams and is expected to play the husband of Pfeiffer’s character, but that’s still unconfirmed by Paramount. The other big casting news here is that Matthew Fox, the star of Lost who took time away from acting, has a regular role.
Here’s a rundown of The Madison cast and the characters they are playing.
Michelle Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn, a formidable NYC matriarch and mother of Paige and Abigail
Patrick J. Adams as Russell McIntosh, an investment banker and husband of Paige who has followed the life path set out for him from the start

The Madison plot
The show’s official logline describes it as “a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.” The character descriptions offer more insight, indicating that this is a series about a multi-generational New York family who moves to Montana after a tragedy.
