Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) shoved Eric right out the Forrester door with that retirement party ambush. Eric was understandably devastated and left feeling disrespected by Ridge’s actions.

Although Ridge tried to undo his mistake and convince Eric to come back to the company, it was just too little, too late – at least at the time!

Instead, Eric jumped at the chance to dive into something new at Logan and prove he could make Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) fashion house a rising star in the industry.

However, things have changed now that Ridge knows the truth and Eric’s had another medical episode.

Everyone can see that Eric’s stressed, unhappy and heartbroken over how everything’s played out.

What Eric really wants is to make decisions for himself and design at Forrester Creations without feeling like Ridge is controlling everything.

That’s what this storyline is now building to according to B&B spoilers.

Although Eric won’t jump right back into work at Forrester immediately, that’s indeed where he’s headed.

Ridge seemed genuinely impressed by Eric’s sketches despite the news of his betrayal, so he knows Eric is still talented and has more to share with the fashion world.

It’s just a matter of finding the right balance and making sure Eric doesn’t put his health at stake.

Even Eric has to see that he can’t put himself in the grave for the sake of proving a point!

Now that Ridge gets how much he’s hurt his dad, he’ll be more committed to making this right and finding a way forward.

Eric’s going to want that too, but he’ll also want to know he’s calling the shots on his own life from now on.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Eric will end up back at Forrester Creations eventually, so Katie and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) will have to deal with losing their lead designer!
