The Bold and the Beautiful Friday, January 9 Recap: Sheila Listens as Deke Pushes Deacon Toward New Woman
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Friday, January 9, reveals that Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) listened in on the conversation as Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) pushed Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) toward a new woman.
At Il Giardino, Sheila stepped within eavesdropping distance and overheard Deke pushing Deacon to leave Sheila for a woman who wasn’t a convicted felon.
Once Deacon left, a waiter named Tyler flirted with Deke until Sheila interrupted.
That gave Sheila a chance to point out that she eavesdropped earlier, so Deke wondered just how much she overheard.
After Deke realized Sheila hadn’t heard anything about Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig), he apologized for not being more discreet.
Sheila was more concerned about the fact that Deke was pushing Deacon to end their marriage, so she urged Deke to give her a chance to prove herself.
In a moment alone, Sheila thought about Deacon and vowed that no one would come between them.
In Taylor’s office, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) pushed her mom to drop Deacon as a patient.
Taylor summoned Deacon soon after and offered updates on Steffy witnessing their close moment.
Although Taylor thought she should refer Deacon to another therapist, he wanted Taylor since she was the best.
Taylor and Deacon addressed their complicated feelings as well as the fact that they didn’t want to provoke Sheila’s wrath.
Deacon and Taylor wound up pinky-promising to be friends before Deacon suggested maybe fairytale romances weren’t meant for people like them.
However, Deacon also considered the possibility that maybe they just hadn’t found theirs yet!
At Forrester Creations, Steffy shocked Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) with the news that Deacon was making a move on Taylor.
Hope doubted Steffy’s claims, so Steffy explained what she witnessed in Taylor’s office.
Once Hope realized Taylor had feelings for Deacon too, she was amused and liked the idea of her father leaving Sheila.
Steffy reminded Hope that Sheila was dangerous and could go off the rails, so she needed Hope to convince her dad to stay away from Taylor.
In the Forrester showroom, Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) told Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that she’d been thinking about things she hadn’t thought about with any other man.
Although Daphne wanted a family deep down, she was wary of risking everything she’d built.
Daphne acted like having kids wasn’t in the cards for her, but Carter insisted he wanted to be a father, too.
Daphne seemingly didn’t think Carter was serious enough about her to have a child together, but he proved her wrong by getting down on one knee and whipping out an engagement ring.
As Friday’s B&B episode wrapped up, Carter professed his devotion and stunned Daphne by asking her to marry him.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Daphne and Carter indeed have marriage and family plans in their future, so stay tuned.
