Sister Wives New Season 16 Date: Is Kody Losing One Wife As Coyote Pass Building Starts?
Sister Wives with Kody Brown is back with a new season this fall that starts with all four wives, but it looks like one may say goodbye. Tensions are high on this TLC series which also reveals the start of finally building on Coyote Pass.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown And Ladies – Tensions On High
It’s official, TLC announced an earlier start date of the new Sister Wives season than fans expected. Over the last few years, Sister Wives debuted a new season in January. All except for the last season which debuted in February amid the COVID mess. But this time around it’s early by a few months.
There may be a reason for that. It seems one unhappy wife had some serious thoughts about going on her own without sharing Kody as a husband anymore. So, if that’s the case, just maybe they needed to get the filming of the new season completed before four Sister Wives brides suddenly become three.
Reports put the Brown family dealing with an extraordinary amount of tension. Surprisingly these same reports about the new season suggest Meri Brown has adjusted to a life without Kody Brown as her romantic partner. She’s not only sticking around but she’s content with the way things are today, or so the spoilers suggest.
It seems Meri has embraced the new reality of her world and making lemonade out of lemons these days. So, it doesn’t sound as if it’s Meri Brown who has one foot out the Sister Wives door during the new season.
Expedited New Season Connected To Christine Brown Selling Her House?
So, if a new season did materialize many fans expected the premiere to happen in 2022. But no, the new Sister Wives season premieres on November 21, 2021. This can only mean that they’re well into filming now or perhaps just wrapping it up.
So the timing of Christine Brown putting her house up for sale looks suspicious. Did she stick around to squeeze out one more Sister Wives season with the husband she finds hard to tolerate these days?

With a November rollout, this would probably mean they’ve got most of the footage for that season right now. The timing of the season and Christine listing her home might mean she’s on her way to Utah.
That’s what she wanted last season. She also said she’s tired of feeling like she doesn’t matter to Kody. With the cameras rolling Christine said “I need a partnership. I need something different than this.” So maybe she does want more from a husband than Kody can give or is willing to give.
Sister Wives: Coyote Pass Houses and Christine’s Move
Another theory has Christine Brown selling her home to use the profit for the family to start building on Coyote Pass. This would mean her crisis blew over and she’s given polygamy another chance. The preview for the new Sister Wives season said they’re ready to build.
So, since Christine’s owned her home for almost three years, she’s probably looking at a nice profit when it sells. She has it listed for more than $200,000 than she purchased it for.
Maybe Christine worked past those problems for the last season and is ready to roll with the family once again. But the preview does emphasize Kody’s third wife wanting to move to Utah. Then when Kody presents this as a move for the entire Sister Wives family, the other wives nix the idea.
So, it’s very possible Christine finishes up with this new season and moves on to find that partnership she yearns for. One scene promised has the third wife getting nowhere with Kody over a Utah move and walking away in tears.
Kody Brown’s Strict Rules
The preview of the new Sister Wives season has Kody at odds with two of his wives, Christine and Janelle Brown. His strict rules around COVID keep the family apart. It looks like Christmas won’t be a traditional Brown family holiday because of Kody’s fears about this virus.
While Janelle Brown tends to back Kody in most of his endeavors, it looks like this is one time where she doesn’t. So, it sounds as if there’s dissension in the ranks with Kody and his wives when the new season premieres.
Kody is sour on polygamy these days, which he shares below in the video. So, some fans assume he’s basically lived with Robyn Brown through the COVID mess and has gotten used to it. If one wife does go through with leaving the family, will this act as a relief for Kody Brown?
Kody Doesn’t Want To Advocate for Polygamy Anymore | Sister Wives
The new season also brings conflict that has Janelle vs. Kody and Robyn. So, it sounds as if there’s unhappiness in every corner of Kody Brown’s polygamous marriage.
Sister Wives fans will tune in to see where Christine’s unhappiness from last season leads her. Building on Coyote Pass is finally here but is it a little too late to save Kody Brown and his huge Sister Wives family from splintering off in different directions? Save the date of Sunday, November 21, 2021, to tune in to TLC at 10 pm ET for more of Kody Brown and his family.
