Sister Wives: Kody Brown Causes Head Scratching

Things started to get weird with the Coyote Pass land division for the Sister Wives before Kody’s next bombshell dropped. The strange re-parceling of the land to make five plots instead of one for each wife has Kody Brown on the defense.

The Sister Wives’ patriarch wants his own house. That left his wives half-confused and half-perturbed. The women had no idea what prompted their husband to decide on a place of his own. Christine Brown sounded sarcastic and seemed to mock her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Christine imitated Kody, speaking in a deep voice, saying he wants a house where they can all get together with the whole big Sister Wives family. Don’t forget, at the time this was filmed, Christine said she was only “pretending” she’d move to Coyote Pass. So, Kody Brown and the other ladies believed she was going with them.

Five Houses for Four People Now?

Of course, this season of Sister Wives was taped before Christine Brown decided to leave the man she spiritually married. She left him and Flagstaff behind. So, in real-time, it’s not known how this figures into the latest division of building lots.

Maybe the remaining Sister Wives revert to the four large lots they’d originally planned. This would still allow Kody Brown a piece of land to build his own house. But why all of the sudden does he come up with the idea to build the fifth house for himself?

It looks like Kody’s decision to build one extra home has something more to it, suggest Sister Wives followers. The reason behind his thinking could be something very simple or even some wishful thinking on his part. Is he carving out another lot in case he takes a fifth bride?

Sister Wives: Fans Offer Their Take on Kody’s Fifth House Plan

Christine is still with the Brown family in this season’s episodes. But she suggests she may exit the marriage. So, some viewers think Kody is paving the way for a possible new wife to join his plural marriage. They think he’ll want to boost his quantity of spouses back up to four.

But assumptions about him taking another bride began right after Robyn joined the family. It’s also a repeating Sister Wives rumor that Kody’s denied in the past. But some fans think a fifth wife might still be in the back of his mind.

His excuse for wanting a house for the family to use as a spot to hold all their events doesn’t fly with at least one wife. While Robyn Brown gave a thumbs up, Christine called it a waste of money. Both Sister Wives were clear about this on the recent TLC episode.

Despite Christine saying it’s a money-waster, Meri Brown got a kick out of it. As for the second of the Sister Wives, Janelle Brown, she seems too fed up to weigh in on it. But all the ladies seemed confused by Kody’s notion. And the only one that endorsed it was the one he spends the most time with — Robyn.

Money, Money, and More Money?

This chat about a house for Kody Brown might be to drag more financial tension into the new season. Now, the  Sister Wives each have a piece of property to call their own. But could it be that Kody wants a parcel for himself in case any of these marriages fall apart?

If any of the Sister Wives sell their land, he’d still have a piece for himself. And remember, Kody Brown wants to keep the series on the air. As Soap Dirt mentioned before. the ratings aren’t as great as in earlier seasons on TLC. So, after a more than a decade-long run, they may be on the renewal bubble.

But more drama might bump ratings and help get another season. So, by Kody insisting on this additional house, perhaps it’ll intrigue fans and bring them back for more. So, is this property upheaval about Kody Brown keeping the Sister Wives series on the air?
