‘Sister Wives’: Kody Reveals He Had COVID – Says ‘It Did Bad Things to Me’
Sister Wives star Kody Brown reveals he came down with COVID and it did “bad things” to him, despite all the safeguards he says he put in place. At least one wife accused him of overkill when it came to his measures for protecting the family against the pandemic as he traveled from house to house.
Kody Brown recently revealed he had coronavirus. He said it was “really hard” when struck with the COVID virus. It appears this is the first time that he’s mentioned being sick during the pandemic. Now that the new season of Sister Wives begins this week, some wonder why he revealed this info now.
It seems odd that Christine Brown complained about her lack of time with Kody. She alluded to not seeing much of Kody since the pandemic began. Sister Wives fans saw a lot of Christine in over a decade of the show. Most think she would be more understanding if he were sick.
So, with the lack of a timeline, viewers assume that his illness happened recently. Christine probably wouldn’t be urging Kody out of a sickbed to spend time with her. Some TLC followers think he got sick after the new season was filmed. It might have even happened after Christine left Kody Brown.
Brown Patriarch Says Illness was ‘Hard’ on Him
The Sister Wives shared hubby didn’t offer details but says “bad things” happened to him while he was ill with COVID-19. Kody Brown may bring this up now to pave the way for some damage control. With one wife gone and the three other Sister Wives bickering in the new season, it’s not looking good.
Even Robyn Brown gets snippy with her co-wives while on camera in the new season. She usually just sits and seems sulky without pointing the finger at anyone. But that seemed to change. Fans picked up on her sudden take-charge attitude on camera for the upcoming Sister Wives season.

Then there’s Christine who contemplated leaving the family in this new season. She announced her decision to leave Kody after she sold her Flagstaff, Arizona home and moved to Utah. She considered relocating to Utah during the filming of Sister Wives Season 16.
But she also said she wasn’t ready to make such a drastic decision on her future just yet. So, now with Kody claiming things were “bad “for him, this could be the start of him blaming some of this upheaval on his bout with the virus?
Sister Wives Husband Kody Does Damage Control?
Whatever happened to Kody during his time with coronavirus seems painful to him as he talks about it. Maybe he is referring to his failing relationships when pointing out that he experienced “bad things.” He said it also caused a “really hard” time for him. Perhaps he means just the physical aspect of the illness. Or it might relate to what’s clearly some family drama.

In the new season, the family dynamics seem difficult for Kody Brown and the rest of the Sister Wives. But as Soap Dirt suggested, editing can play a big part in turning scenes into something they’re not. So, fans won’t know how broken the Brown family is until the show airs.
But if they are as fragmented as some fans think, then maybe Kody Brown gears up to blame some of the issuing on suffering from the virus. If it was that difficult for him, it could have impacted his Sister Wives marriages. So, the only thing left for the fans to do is tune in this Sunday, November 21, for the kick-off of Season 16.
