Sister Wives star Kody Brown is sharing a lot of his thoughts while making these fan messages for his new gig and some might seem a bit odd. If Kody wasn’t so serious about this advice, you might think that he was sharing a joke.

First of all, you might want to give the Sister Wives’ husband a thumbs up for trying. But he gave such a strange reason for women getting a lack of respect in the workplace from men that you may feel your jaw drop.

Sister Wives: Kody Brown Messages Include Advice

Kody’s Cameo gigs seem to be piling up. It looks like a lot of people feel the $79 is well worth it for a personalized message from the Sister Wives’ father of 18.

In a recent fan-requested video, Kody Brown was asked to wish a woman a happy birthday. He suggested that the person requesting this video also asked him for some advice. And oh boy… did he give advice.

Apparently, this person the video is for happens to be an intelligent woman, who is an engineer. But she’s finding it hard to gain the respect of the men she works with. So, Kody Brown did have some advice for the Sister Wives fan.

As the head of the Sister Wives family and surrounded by women, maybe he feels he has this topic covered. But what he says next, well… you decide.

Men Equate Respect With Love

Kody sees this lack of respect problem as just the men keeping themselves covered. The Sister Wives celeb says men think that respect goes along with love.

But it sounds more like he thinks men believe love and respect are one of the same. So, if these men did show her respect, these guys might think that she’ll take it the wrong way.

He said men might think by showing her respect that they’re showing her something else – like love. So in Kody’s mind when you show respect to a female co-worker they equate it with love?

He said men have a hard time with having a platonic relationship with a woman in the workplace. Kody Brown claims to show respect means showing love to men.

That is not the idea that they’d want their female colleague to walk away with. So in order not to come off like men attempting to make a pass, there’s a lack of respect instead. He does offer a disclaimer that this is just a generalization. Really?

Well, it seems the Sister Wives leader got part of the equation correct, love and respect do go hand and hand. But fans were quick to point out that a man can absolutely respect a woman’s position in the workplace without it turning into making a pass at her.

Sister Wives: So Is This How Kody Explains His Own Actions?

Kody Brown demonstrated some disturbing behavior toward Meri Brown while at a therapy session a while back on Sister Wives. He apparently fell out of love with Meri but what he had to say had fans furious.

The video below explains some of the problems between the matriarch and the patriarch of the Sister Wives family.

During that therapy visit, Kody was degrading and demeaning to Meri. Those are just a couple of the words fans used to describe that session. His lack of respect towards Meri Brown, the first to marry into the Sister Wives brood, came out loud and clear.

The advice the Sister Wives papa gave this woman was for her to show the men respect and hope that they eventually show it back to her. He also told her to set boundaries.

This was probably one piece of advice he might have wanted to rehearse with his wives before posting it online in a video to a fan.
