The former Emmerdale star, his wife Liz and their four children have been residing in temporary lodgings since a fire ravaged their farmhouse in the Peak District while they were away.

Kelvin, who previously described the incident as âthe stuff of nightmaresâ, has now revealed that the family are exploring ways to return to the farm.
In the December 7 episode of their ITV series Fletchersâ Family Farm, Kelvin and Liz considered erecting a lodge on the property so they could be back on site during the homeâs restoration, reports the Mirror.
âRenovations to the farmhouse are still yet to start,â he shared. âBut weâre desperate to get back on the farm. So Liz and I are now on a mission to find a solution. Think about the farm every minute of every day. Itâs just weird not being there. Thereâs a worry, thereâs a⊠It just doesnât feel the same.â

âIt was a funny time for everyone really,â Liz reflected. âWe just have to go through it as it happens, I guess.â

She further added: âWeâre just so grateful that we get to have temporary accommodation and the plan is to rebuild the house, be back in, and itâll just be a story to tell.â
Kelvin elaborated: âLiz and I want to see if thereâs a way we can create a temporary home on the farm. Thatâll work for us as a family until the farmhouse renovation is complete.â

The couple then consulted with a lodge and cabin builder, exploring the possibility of setting up a lodge during the ongoing house refurbishment.
Having weighed up the options and formulated a plan, Kelvin expressed his eagerness, saying that âfor me, the lodge canât come soon enoughâ.
âAfter months of uncertainty, itâs exciting to be making plans to get the family back on the farm,â he declared. âDefinitely feels like thereâs light at the end of the tunnel, and the countdown to being back on the farm can begin,â the television personality added optimistically.
