‘Maybe this year!’ Laura Norton issues update on wedding plans with Emmerdale co-star
Emmerdale’s Laura Norton has issued an update on her wedding plans, eight years on from getting engaged.
Laura, best known for her role as Kerry Wyatt in the ITV soap, is in a relationship with Mark Jordon, who played Daz Spencer in the show.
The couple have two children together called Jesse and Ronnie.
In 2018, Laura’s life changed when Mark proposed. Actually tying the knot has been something that hasn’t happened for the couple yet, as they’ve been incredibly busy with other aspects of their lives such as raising Jesse and Ronnie.
Recently, Laura took to her Instagram to share some throwback snaps from 2018. They feature the couple on holiday, and Laura showing off her new engagement ring.
Reflecting on how much their world has changed since then, Laura wrote in the caption: ‘When you get engaged in 2018 and the world has other plans. Still marry you in a heartbeat @markjordondad.
She added: ‘Maybe this year…’
Laura received many comments from her followers on the post, with plenty of her fans calling her and Mark a ‘power couple’.
Another joked: ‘You can’t rush these things hun?!’.
In 2023, Mark and Laura revealed that their two children, Jesse and Ronnie, had been diagnosed with Usher Syndrome, which is a rare, incurable genetic condition that causes loss of hearing and vision and, in some cases, affects balance.
The couple are incredibly passionate about raising awareness of the diagnosis. For the past few years, the stars have invited their friends from the industry to a CureUsher ball, allowing more people to discuss and also learn about the condition.

Laura previously shared that they first thought something was different in 2021 when Jesse failed hearing tests.
‘My intuition told me there was a serious problem and I was in tears at the thought of it,’ she revealed in an episode of Loose Women.
However, the couple didn’t know it was Usher Syndrome specifically until Laura was pregnant with their second child.
