Is Spencer Cassadine Returning to ‘General Hospital’? Here’s What We Know

General Hospital fans are holding out hope that Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) will return to Port Charles.

The closer Trina (Tabyana Ali) gets to Kai (Jens Austin Astrup), the more fans are convinced Spencer is about to be in the mix. There’s no question that Sprina was a fan favorite couple on the hit ABC soap.

Kai and Trina definitely aren’t bringing the same heat as Spencer and Trina. However, the writers seem to have fast-tracked them, which to fans can only mean one thing: Spencer is coming home.

Unfortunately for GH fans, Spencer returning to the show isn’t happening anytime soon. That doesn’t mean Spencer isn’t coming back or that we won’t see him in the next few months. Perhaps the fall or November sweeps.

In true soap fashion, Spencer will likely turn up alive when Trina has really fallen in love with Kai. The couple is not there yet, even with the writers shoving them together. Expect more of Kai and Trina over the summer to get them to that place.

When Spencer does resurface on the show, he will have a new face. Chavez has moved on to other projects, despite initially saying he would return to General Hospital after he filmed Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
