GH & Days Alum Greg Vaughan Talks Being on Beyond the Gates Set – Teases First Airdate

Beyond the Gates (BTG) spoilers reveal that soap veteran Greg Vaughan is the newest addition to the cast, and the actor recently talked about filming on the set and hinted about his debut – so let’s talk about it!

In early October of this year, news broke that the Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and General Hospital (GH) alum would be joining BTG.

Vaughan played Lucky Spencer on GH from 2003 to 2009 and moved on as Eric Brady on DOOL from 2012 to 2024.

It’s important to note that while Eric left Salem in the summer of 2024 and headed to Paris with onscreen love, Nicole Walker, played by Arianne Zucker, the character had returned to storylines now and again, on a recurring basis.

Plus, due to DOOL’s shooting so far in advance, Days fans will also see Eric return to the canvas sometime in November for the show’s big 60th anniversary celebrations.

In addition, the actor also portrayed Diego Guittierez on The Young and the Restless (Y&R) from 2002 to 2003.

Not to mention the fact that Vaughan is a Daytime Emmy winner, snagging the award in 2018 in the Supporting Actor category for his work as Eric Brady on Days, so the fact that Beyond the Gates has scored such a major soap talent is huge!

With that said, there’s a ton of mystery surrounding Vaughan’s BTG character.

The show has not released his character’s name or who he’ll be sharing storylines with, so fans are anxiously awaiting more information and his debut date.

Well, thanks to a social media post, viewers can zero in on an approximate time they can anticipate his arrival.

Vaughan hopped on IG recently, posting a selfie of himself.

The caption revealed a ton of interesting information, as it’s clear he’s on the BTG set and is already filming!

The actor’s Instagram caption noted, “Look out… something special is taking shape!! Today was one of those days that reminds you why you love the work.”

Vaughan goes on to say, “Grateful for real executive leadership, talent collaboration, and heart in this environment!”

He closed with, “Getting fired up about this character and the journey ahead. #OnSet #Grateful
#BTG #StayTuned #December2025”

So, while Vaughan didn’t offer a “set in stone” airdate for his BTG debut, viewers can expect to see him enter the land of Fairmont Crest next month, in December, thanks to his post’s hashtags!

Beyond the Gates spoilers imply that Vaughan’s arrival on the soaps should offer plenty of chaos and intrigue, so fans need to stay tuned to the new CBS daytime drama to see how his storyline unfolds.
