General Hospital spoilers hint that Finola Hughes, who plays Anna Devane on GH, has seemingly left the show.

During the closing credits of the Friday, February 13 episode, Hughes’ name was shockingly absent from the rest of the series’ regulars, as well as the recurring actors/actresses that participated in the show that day.

Stunning to say the least, Anna has been a pivotal player in the daytime drama since arriving on the Port Charles scene in 1985.

As “the” leading lady on the ABC soap, she’s remained prominent in storylines, especially since 2012.

While neither General Hospital nor Hughes has made an official statement on whether the actress has been taken off contract, and what her status is with the show, the fact that her name is no longer in the closing credits is huge.

General Hospital fans are still reeling over Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) announcing his small vacay from the show this past week.

In an Instagram post, Burton explained he wanted to spend more time with his family, and he’d be back in the summer.

Burton has already finished shooting for the soap and talked about his hiatus recently on his podcast with co-host Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli), confirming the reason for his “short break” was family, and he knew that GH would likely line up some fun storylines for Jason’s return.

Hughes is a nine-time Daytime Emmy-nominated actress who scored the award in 1991 in the Lead Actress category.

If she has left the ABC soap, this would be a huge blow for General Hospital.

Storyline-wise, Anna is in a mental health facility in France right now, trying to convince authorities (and everyone around her) that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) is alive and he kidnapped her.

Little does she know that was the handiwork of Pascal (Marc Forget), Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and WSB backstabber Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

Will Anna stay in France until further notice?

General Hospital spoilers say that a Port Charles world without Anna Devane is like French fries without ketchup – or apple pie without ice cream – so it’ll be interesting to see if the show or the actress confirms an exit, and what happens next for her character and show.
