General Hospital’s Chad Duell Says He’d Make a Soap Comeback, What’s Ahead for Ex-Michael
General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Chad Duell (ex-Michael Corinthos) recently revealed whether he’d make a soapy comeback, so let’s talk about what’s ahead for ex-Michael.
In an interview with Soap Opera News, Duell opened up about stepping away from GH and taking this opportunity for a reset.
Now Duell has some other projects he’s working on, including two exciting new films.
Although Duell couldn’t share much about his upcoming movies just yet, he did offer up some teasers.
Duell will be portraying a blind man who has to carry his injured buddy through the wilderness in one of those films, so that certainly sounds like a challenging role.
In the other movie, Duell is set to play a guy who’s locked up for assisting his terminally ill dad with ending his life.
Although Duell is staying busy with these new projects, that doesn’t mean he’s against the idea of returning to the world of daytime dramas.
Rory Gibson has taken over the role of Michael Corinthos in Port Charles, but what about a return to another soap for Chad Duell?
Would Duell consider taking a part on The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives or Beyond the Gates?
“Yeah, I would entertain doing another daytime soap. It just depends on the role, how it is there, how they see my body of work, and whether the team is excited for me. If they have a good storyline and good character, then I’m all on board,” Duell insisted.
Of course, no one can rule out Duell’s return to GH at some point in a new role!

Chad Duell also had some heartfelt words for fans as he thanked them for all their support over the years.
“Regardless of me feeling burnt out or needing a recharge, it still was a blessing to play Michael — not only for myself but for you all,” Duell said.
