General Hospital Wednesday, November 5 Recap: Captive Anna Gets a Faison Message – Cody Schemes to Help Nathan & James
General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, November 5, reveals that captive Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) got a Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) message, which may have been from Faison himself or someone pretending to be him. Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) also schemed to help Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and James West (Gary James Fuller), so here’s how all the GH action played out.
In Anna’s office, she pushed Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to talk to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and find out if Faison was still alive.
Jason was willing to do that, but he was convinced that Faison couldn’t have survived his fatal gunshot wound.
Instead, Jason posed the possibility that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and those he was working with were using the threat of Faison to mess with Anna’s head.
Once Anna got in her vehicle later, she called Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) and left a voicemail to share that same theory.
After Anna disconnected, someone wearing black gloves chloroformed her until she lost consciousness in the driver’s seat.
When Anna woke up, she was handcuffed to a chair in a stark room somewhere. Anna tried calling for help, but a voice that sounded like Faison’s came through a speaker.
That voice urged Anna to be at peace since she was on her way to a new life, so Anna struggled in her restraints and repeatedly shouted, “NO!”
At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) house, Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) was down in the dumps since Halloween was a sad reminder of losing Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
However, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) managed to lift Scout’s spirits with some pumpkin decorating and stories from when Sam was alive.
Meanwhile, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) headed to Bobbie’s for cupcakes and ran into Cody, who was helping James sort through his Halloween candy.
Nathan had requested to see James in his costume once he wrapped up trick-or-treating with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), but James focused on Cody more than his dad.
That’s why Cody insisted on helping Molly outside with her cupcakes and confused her in the process.
Once Cody was out front with Molly, he explained that he was taking himself out of the picture to encourage James to pay attention to Nathan.
Molly thought that was sweet, so she shared a nice moment with Cody before heading home with the “manhandled” cupcakes.
Since James wasn’t ready for Nathan to be his full-time parent and Nathan wasn’t ready for that either, he privately confirmed to Spinelli and Felicia that he wouldn’t be enforcing custody right now.
James could continue living with Spinelli and his sisters, though Nathan hinted about revisiting this topic somewhere down the line.
In the meantime, James did warm up to Nathan a bit more by handing over a grape sucker since he remembered his dad like that flavor.
James also hoped Nathan could come trick-or-treating next year, so Nathan was pleased to be getting to know him better.
Nathan, James, Felicia and Spinelli eventually celebrated Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) birthday with a cake, so James blew out the candle.
In Alexis’ office, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) felt like he was letting Sam down since he couldn’t be there for Scout, but Alexis assured him that only Drew was to blame.
Danny handed over a bag of Scout’s favorite candy and asked his grandma to pass it along, so Alexis took it home to his delighted sister.
Since it was Sam’s favorite too, all the Davis girls had one piece in memory of her.
Once Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) met up with his son, Danny wondered where they would spend the night and assumed Drew owned the Quartermaine mansion now.
Jason hinted about good news and prepared to give Danny updates on Drew’s purchase falling through.
At the Quartermaine residence, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) arrived and heard the altered will story.
Gio also learned that Tracy was the real house owner and that she’d kicked her family out after they supported Veronica “Ronnie” Bard (Erika Slezak).
However, Gio suggested Tracy should cut Ronnie some slack since she did the right thing in the end.
Since Monica must’ve had a reason for leaving the house to Tracy, Gio suggested it was because she trusted Tracy to keep the family together.
Whether Tracy was ready for this responsibility or not, Gio pushed her to see that she was the head of the Quartermaine clan now.
Tracy acknowledged that she needed her family and felt that Gio did, too.
By the time Jason and Danny arrived home wondering where everyone else was, Tracy was hopeful that they’d all be home soon.
After Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) rented out the hatchet throwing range, he teased ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) about her throwing abilities and flirted with her over the dinner he made.
Sonny hoped he was forgiven for setting his trap and trying to dissuade Justine from going after Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
Justine pointed out Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was the one being prosecuted, but Sonny still thought she should recuse herself.
ADA Turner insisted on sticking with the case instead and planned to pull off a win in court.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Justine’s messy connection could come with more complications as this storyline moves along, so stay tuned.
