General Hospital Wednesday, January 7 Recap: Martin’s Spy Secret Revealed – Gio Recruited for Ringtone Proof
General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, January 7, indicates that Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) spy secret was revealed while Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) was recruited for some ringtone proof.
In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) interrupted her conversation with Suzanne (Jen Ray).
Although Alexis planned to rest the defense’s case in the morning, Drew insisted he wanted to take the stand and basically rip Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) to shreds.
Alexis and Suzanne explained why that was a bad idea, but Drew was adamant.
Willow argued that she should be the one to take the stand instead, but Alexis spelled out why that’d end in catastrophe, too.
Alexis didn’t want Drew and Willow undoing all the progress she’d made in creating reasonable doubt.
However, Drew wanted no doubt at all and felt that he could deliver that on the stand.
After Drew threatened to take away Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) visitation, Alexis finally relented and told Drew to go for it if he wanted to testify.
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Alexis said on Wednesday’s GH episode.
In the hallway, Drew assured Willow that Michael was going to end up in prison and that she’d get custody of the kids again.
After Drew suggested tomorrow would change everything and pulled Willow into a hug, she looked nervous.
At the PCPD, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) put Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) to work reviewing Michael’s phone records and wanted him to go over Willow’s phone records, too.
Dante didn’t trust himself to handle all this anymore, so he needed Nathan to take a closer look at everything.
Soon after, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) showed up and got Nathan to hand over a file since ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) wanted the latest evidence updates.
Although Molly was doing this as a favor for Justine, she was glad she wasn’t officially part of the case since it involved too many people she cared about.
At Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) house, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) realized someone who lived at the Quartermaine estate may have eavesdropped and blabbed to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), so she considered the possibility it was Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
Dante later showed up and got some comfort from Lulu while Tracy made her way to the Port Charles Grill.
That’s where Laura Collins (Genie Francis) gave Martin news about sending Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kiernan Barry) to Ireland with Kevin Collins (John Lindstrom).
Martin grilled Laura about the real reason why, so she admitted Ace was in danger.
However, Laura played it off like fugitive Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was the person she was concerned about.
Tracy interrupted and reminded Martin that she expected some progress on getting the Quartermaine family heirlooms back.
Martin had tried to talk to Drew, but he insisted the congressman wouldn’t budge.
Tracy once again threatened to have Martin thrown behind bars, but he acted like he’d do everything in his power to fix this.
On Martin’s way out, he flashed back to watching and listening in on Tracy’s incriminating conversation with Michael at the Quartermaine mansion.
Martin smirked since he was obviously the one who supplied Alexis with that anonymous information.
Nearby, Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) sat down at a table with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) and acted like they didn’t have to hide their relationship now that their connection had come out in court.
It was obvious based on Jacinda’s facial expressions that she didn’t share Ezra’s feelings about this being more than a paid arrangement.
Ezra thought they could truly be together, but Jacinda suggested it wouldn’t go well for Ezra’s career.
Jacinda also thought it was best if she left town, so Ezra shut down any talk about the future and suggested focusing on the present.
Although Jacinda agreed to have dinner and drinks with Ezra, she took off while he was getting them a bottle of bubbly.
At Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) apartment, she told Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) that they needed to stay out of this despite their newfound ringtone-related discovery.
Trina refused to make trouble for Michael because Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) would be crushed.
Kai was more inclined to do the right thing, but he suggested a compromise since they didn’t even know for sure Michael’s ringtone for Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) was Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.
Trina realized Gio might be able to help them figure this out, so she summoned him to her place.
After Michael briefly interacted with Gio at the Quartermaine mansion, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) arrived and felt bad that she hadn’t given Michael a heads-up after discovering Alexis’ file.
Kristina admitted she tried to pay Jacinda to leave town and learned Jacinda showed up at the courthouse to warn Michael before getting called to the stand.
There was some talk about the Ezra drama, but Kristina and Michael didn’t think Jacinda had intentionally caused problems.
Although Michael knew Jacinda may have left Port Charles by now, he hoped that she hadn’t.
Once Gio made it to Trina’s apartment, he faced questions about Michael’s special ringtone for Wiley.
Gio didn’t know what it was, but Trina and Kai hoped he could arrange a call to help them get some answers.
Gio didn’t want to manipulate a child if he didn’t know the details, but Trina assured him that this could help Wiley along with Willow and get the truth out.
In the end, Gio agreed to get to the bottom of things and make this phone call happen.
General Hospital spoilers say more twists are on the way for Kai and Trina, so stay tuned.
