General Hospital Tuesday, December 9 Recap: Carly’s Message from Valentin to Charlotte – Anna Demands Answers

General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, December 9, reveals that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) delivered a message from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) while Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) demanded captor answers, so here’s how Tuesday’s GH episode played out.

At Carly’s place, Valentin came inside from the shed after Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was gone, but Carly still wanted him off the premises due to Donna Corinthos’ (Scarlett Spears) imminent homecoming.

Valentin insisted he could avoid Donna and needed Carly to get a message to Anna, but she couldn’t since Anna was out of town.

Valentin got updates on the WSB assignment explanation and asked Carly to do him a different favor in the meantime.

At Valentin’s request, Carly provided some blue ribbon for a key.

Valentin needed Carly to leave it somewhere for Charlotte to find since she’d know it meant he was safe and for her to stay put.

Once Carly arrived at Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) house, she acted like she was there to see how Lulu was holding up.

Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) arrived and pushed to speak with Lulu alone, so Carly made herself scarce,

On the way off the property, Carly slipped the key Valentin had given her under a space on the porch.

Meanwhile, Lulu refused to let Brennan grill her daughter, but Charlotte popped up and was fine with talking to him.

However, Charlotte stayed tight-lipped when Brennan pushed for any alternate forms of communication besides phones.

Brennan acted like Valentin would be in more danger if Charlotte didn’t cooperate, so Lulu privately chewed him out for tossing threats around and manipulating Charlotte.

After Charlotte went outside, she found the key that Carly had tucked away and clearly knew it was a message from Valentin.

Carly returned home and let Valentin know she’d passed along the key.

Since Valentin insisted on staying at Carly’s place, she reluctantly gave him the attic and learned he’d be staying until Anna came back.

At one point, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) talked to Lulu about the possibility that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) might’ve had Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) eliminated to help Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).

ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) also questioned Mac Scorpio (John J. York) about whether Sonny might be responsible for Dalton’s demise, so Mac definitely acknowledged it was a possibility.

Although ADA Turner didn’t want to prosecute Rocco for a crime he didn’t commit, she wasn’t about to let Sonny get away with killing Dalton either.

Turner stressed that fact to Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and insisted she was only letting Sonny think his charms were working on her.

In reality, ADA Turner was just being smart about how she took Sonny down.

At Sonny’s house, he met with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), who was stunned to learn Sidwell had the Dalton murder weapon with her DNA all over it.

Laura admitted Sidwell wanted to use her mayoral role to his advantage and worried about what would happen if he asked too much of her.

Sonny explained that he was being forced to sell Sidwell his piers, but he was hopeful about regaining the upper hand on Sidwell eventually.

In Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) room above Bobbie’s, she woke up hungover and assumed Jason wanted answers about the medication he gave her.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) did want answers, but he was willing to wait until Britt was ready.

Although Jason assumed Britt had been drinking because she was upset about something, she claimed she couldn’t remember what it was.

Britt got emotional and pushed Jason to leave despite being grateful for his help.

Afterward, Jason joined Sonny and Laura’s conversation, so there was some talk about how Sidwell would reveal more about his organization as he made more demands.

Laura was in an especially good position to figure why Sidwell came to Port Charles and what his real agenda was.

That could be a key part of taking Sidwell down, so Laura was ready to pitch in and get the scoop.

At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, she was there with Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and Suzanne (Jen Ray) when Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) arrived with Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).

Drew flipped out since this was supposed to be a private meeting with Alexis, but Marco brought up Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and rattled Drew before leaving.

Suzanne also stuck around to serve as a mock jury since Willow thought it was a good idea.

Drew agreed to prepare as if he were being questioned on the stand, so Alexis proceeded with the trial prep.

Alexis forced Drew to relive the night of the shooting, which he wasn’t thrilled about.

Nevertheless, Drew walked Alexis through what happened, including getting Willow’s ring from the safe, putting it on the mantel and getting shot in the back.

Drew initially hinted about remembering something else from that night, but then he seemed to lose the memory and couldn’t place what it was.

Alexis thought Drew needed to recall it since it could be the key to identifying the real shooter.

Drew wanted to blast Michael on the stand, but Willow convinced Drew to go along with Alexis when she advised him not to.

Although Alexis didn’t want Willow to testify in court, Willow insisted on it.

Back with Britt, she got a visit from Marco, who had a key fob for the new lab location now that the others had been compromised.

Marco made it clear that the work would continue and that Sidwell could replace Britt if she became too much trouble.

At the PCPD, Dante spoke to Nathan about Anna and mulled over the possibility that she played a role in Valentin’s escape.

In captivity somewhere, Anna tried to calm herself with meditation before getting frustrated and calling out to ask what her captor wanted from her.

General Hospital spoilers say Anna has more unpleasant surprises ahead of her, so stay tuned for any other shocking news to come.
