General Hospital Thursday, January 8 Recap: Willow Flashes Back to Shooting Drew, Ringtone for Wiley Revealed

General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, January 8, indicates that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) flashed back to shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) before her ringtone for Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) was revealed.

At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) place, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) ran into Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) as he hurried off to the Quartermaine mansion.

While Sonny gave Kristina a pep talk about Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), Gio overheard Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) talking to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about Michael’s potential frame-up of Willow.

Gio got ready to play videogames with Wiley before getting Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) text during a court break.

Under the guise of asking for Michael’s permission about a specific game, Gio got Wiley to call his father.

Trina and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) heard Wiley’s voice as the ringtone telling his dad to pick up.

Michael told Kristina that he got that ringtone for Wiley when he was back in Germany.

Kai and Trina obviously realized it wasn’t Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, which was the ringtone they heard inside Drew’s house the night of the shooting.

Although they didn’t get the answer they were expecting, Trina thanked Gio for his help over the phone.

Brook Lynn also stopped by Sonny’s place to pitch in with a recipe and talk to him about all the positive Gio developments.

As for what happened in court, Drew’s testimony turned into a catastrophe that made things worse for Willow.

Drew tried to make it seem like vengeful Michael sent hitman Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to attack him.

The congressman also testified about Michael’s punch and played up how Michael recorded his encounter with Willow in the nursery.

ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) brought up the Judge Eva Heran (Tessa Auberjonois) bribery proof in Drew’s safe, which left Willow taken aback.

However, Drew insisted Michael set him up and blamed him for all Willow’s problems.

Drew totally lost it on the stand in the end and declared Michael was going to rot in prison.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) confronted Drew during a recess and ripped into him for ruining all the progress Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) had made.

Alexis knew Drew’s testimony couldn’t be the last thing the jury heard, so she needed Willow to get on the stand and undo the damage.

Willow agreed and indeed testified once court was back in session.

When Willow was asked if she’d ever touched the gun stolen from the Quartermaine mansion, she insisted she hadn’t.

However, a flashback showed Willow unlocking the gun case and handling that weapon with gloves.

Another flashback showed Willow looking distraught and determined as she left GH that rainy night.

In Willow’s car, she donned the gloves again and pulled the gun out of her glove compartment.

Of course, Willow pretended she didn’t know where she drove since she was so distressed and claimed she didn’t stop anywhere.

Although Willow was upset over Judge Heran’s demise potentially causing another setback in her visitation efforts, she acted like she didn’t blame Drew for that.

Instead, Willow sang Drew’s praises as the hero who saved her life when she had leukemia and suggested she couldn’t help but fall in love with him.

Willow even corrected ADA Turner about her last name being Cain and not Tait now.

As for Michael, Willow calmly pointed the finger at him for shooting Drew and framing her for it.

There was some talk about Michael being alone at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house and then seemingly setting Willow up to get arrested in front of her children.

Willow put on a convincing performance and left Alexis feeling confident after the judge adjourned for the day.

Fans saw the truth when another flashback showed Willow pulling the trigger on Drew twice.

Wiley eventually called Willow’s phone on her way out of the courtroom, so Kai and Trina were stunned when they realized the ringtone was Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.

General Hospital spoilers say Trina and Kai will talk about that shocking news soon, so we’ll bring you updates on some big decisions they’ll have to make.
