Now that Willow knows Trina and Kai are in the loop on her shooter secret, she’s definitely on edge.

Kai and Trina were in the house that night, so they heard Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star while they were in the bedroom.

It wasn’t until much later that Trina and Kai realized it was Willow’s ringtone for Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver). Kai and Trina figured out Willow must’ve been the one who pulled the trigger on Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), but Willow was found not guilty in court.

Willow got away with the crime, but she still doesn’t want the truth coming out since her Congress seat and custody situation could be at risk. That’s why Willow could be plotting to make Trina and Kai look guilty instead.

After all, Kai used his key to get inside the house that night.

Since Kai picked up the bat while he was there, his fingerprints are all over it. In GH’s April 6 episode, Willow claimed that her chief of staff was insisting on running new background checks for everyone in her office, including Kai. That gave Willow an opening to ask Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) if he recalled Kai’s name coming up in the Drew shooting investigation.

Chase is awfully impressionable when it comes to Willow, so she may give him the nudge he needs to dig for answers regarding Kai.

Will Chase eventually come to believe Kai might’ve pulled the trigger? Regardless, Willow could create a cloud of suspicion around Kai and even Trina, which would make any accusations they might hurl at her seem like an attempt to throw suspicion off themselves.

Perhaps Willow will make it look like Trina recruited Kai to help her get rid of Drew for targeting her parents. Drew blackmailed Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and threatened Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to keep him in line as well, so Trina and Kai had a motive to want Drew gone.

The background check thing was likely something Willow made up to give her an excuse to ask about Kai.

However, if it’s real, maybe something buried in Kai’s history could work to Willow’s advantage, even if she has to arrange a fake red flag with Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) help. Whatever the case, it just feels like Willow will somehow try to spin all this back around on Kai and Trina. Willow could at least threaten to take Trina and Kai down for Drew’s shooting if they dare to come forward with what they know.
