General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Plots to Destroy Sidwell’s Proof and End Villain for Good, Makes Promise to Laura
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will plot to destroy Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) proof and end the villain for good. Sonny will make a promise to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) as they strategize, so here’s what GH fans can expect during the week of December 8-12.
Now that Sidwell has blackmail material he can hold over Sonny and Laura’s heads, he’s crossing a risky line.
Sonny isn’t someone who allows a character like Sidwell to hold all the cards indefinitely.
Since Sonny is used to being in charge, he’ll certainly work to regain control of the situation.
Of course, that’ll be tricky since Sidwell has incriminating photos as well as the gun covered in Laura’s DNA.
Sidwell feels like he’s thought of everything when it comes to this Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) setup, but Sonny will be fiercely determined to find a way out of this mess.
Sonny already told Laura they’d “figure it out” during their phone conversation, but he’ll meet with her in person soon to discuss their next steps.
Laura will be sorry for dragging Sonny into all this, but he may insist the blame falls solely on Sidwell.
Although Sonny and Laura may have to play along with Sidwell’s demands for now, Sonny will no doubt start working on a tactic to sink him.
Sonny may point out that if they can destroy all the proof, then they can eliminate Sidwell’s leverage and get out from under his thumb.
Soap villains aren’t always smart enough to keep multiple copies or pieces of incriminating evidence in multiple places – just like we saw with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and his own blackmail material.
Regardless, Laura may get Sonny’s promise that they won’t have to answer to Sidwell forever.
You can bet Sonny will make sure of that, so destroying the proof may become the priority.
Whether Sonny admits this next part or not, he’ll surely plot Sidwell’s grim fate.
Sonny previously was against the idea of killing Sidwell unless it was a last resort, but Sidwell has crossed over into fatal target territory by now.
