General Hospital Spoilers: Sidwell Has Carly Kidnapped, Gains Total Leverage on Sonny
General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) could have Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) kidnapped to gain leverage on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) – so let’s talk about it.
General Hospital’s preview video for the week of December 1-5 implies that Carly will get attacked from behind in her home at night by someone unknown.
While she’s holding a fire poker in the promo, and fighting back once she’s jumped, it’s not hard to believe that whoever has sprung this surprise ambush will knock the woman out.
There also might be more than one perpetrator behind this to ensure Carly goes down.
Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) voice can be heard in the background, as he shockingly states, “Oh my God,” so it looks like Brennan will be too little, too late where saving Carly is concerned.
He’ll arrive on scene after the attack, and, likely, the person who comes for Carly isn’t there to just hurt her – they are there to kidnap her.
Carly’s scene is mere seconds on the GH promo, so there’s also a good chance she gets chloroformed and dragged away.
So, who would do such a heinous act? This has Sidwell’s handiwork written all over it!
Currently, Sidwell and Sonny are involved in a major power struggle, and with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) winning the Port Charles mayoral race, Sonny won that battle; however, Sidwell is planning to win the war.
Not to mention the fact that, as Sidwell’s scheme to frame Laura for PCU Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) passing went awry, he needs to pivot with a plan B if he wants to get the upper hand against the mob boss.
This is where an attack on Carly and kidnapping come into play.
Sonny and Carly are no longer a thing, but everyone knows that the two are still very close. They share children and a bond that most ex-husbands and ex-wives can’t hold a candle to.
Plus, their loyalty is unmatched. Sidwell knows that Sonny would lose his mind if Carly went missing; he also knows that this would bring Sonny to his knees.
Carly’s safe return could be the very bargaining chip that Sidwell needs to finally attain those much-wanted piers Sonny has refused to give him. This might be Sidwell’s ace in the hole.
Sidwell kidnapping Carly would also grossly complicate things for him and his son, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
After all, Marco is dating Carly’s brother, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), and Carly’s warned Lucas about the dangers of Sidwell.
In fact, his romance with Marco has placed a wedge between the siblings, and Carly was vehemently against Lucas moving into Wyndemere recently.
Things could get very messy between Lucas and Marco if anyone found out that Sidwell was behind Carly’s disappearance.
General Hospital spoilers suggest Sidwell kidnapping Carly may be one of the things that brings the terrorist down when all is said and done, as nabbing Sonny’s ex won’t only have the mob boss outraged, but WSB head Brennan will also stop at nothing to find his love, bring her back home, and nail whoever is behind this to the wall.
