General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) may tackle a poisoner mystery and end up determined to find the truth. Now that Maxie is awake, it could give her a chance to unravel this coma crisis and try to get to the bottom of things.

Back in August 2025, Maxie struggled following the revelation that Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) Deception investment was dirty.

After mulling over the news, Maxie was ready to go against her co-workers and take what she knew to the DA’s office.

However, something shocking happened before Maxie could make an appointment to tell the whole truth.

Maxie keeled over on Home and Heart after a serum demonstration, so she was rushed to GH for urgent medical care.

It was determined that Maxie had a heart attack, but there was more to the story.

Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) found an unidentified enzyme in Maxie’s blood, which led to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) questioning if Maxie had been poisoned.

Later, fans learned that Sidwell arranged Maxie’s poisoning drama to get her out of the way.

Sidwell didn’t want Maxie messing up his plans for a controlling interest in Deception, so he took this extreme route to silence her.

The compound that was used on Maxie came from Sidwell’s associate, who we now know is Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

Sidwell had Colette Moreau (Mercedes Lopez Renard) pass along his gratitude since the compound worked like a charm and made sure Maxie was no longer a threat.

Naturally, Maxie’s going to wonder who’s responsible for the unidentified enzyme and this coma chaos that kept her away from her family for months.

This time in a coma also gave Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) a chance to return to Port Charles and fall for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) while Maxie was out of the picture.

Maxie’s life has been turned upside down thanks to Sidwell and Cullum, but will the real story ever be exposed?

Regardless, Maxie may tackle this poisoner mystery and try to figure out who’s to blame for what she’s been through.

That’s especially true if Maxie fears the guilty party could strike again or even go after other people she cares about.

Maxie may eventually find some clues depending on how things play out.
