Sidwell is blackmailing both Laura and Sonny with incriminating photos along with the murder weapon, which he claims is now covered in Laura’s DNA.
Although Sidwell thinks he’s got Sonny and Laura right where he wants them, there could be a flaw in his plan.
That’s because Britt saw the whole thing and knows for a fact that Sidwell was the one who pulled the trigger.
Britt also knows that Sidwell hinted about Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) still being of some use, so he was dropping clues about the setup.
Could Britt’s eyewitness account help Laura and Sonny out of their jam? Will Britt become a key player in the fight to end this Sidwell nightmare?
At some point after Jason gets updates on the blackmail details, he may confide in Britt and leave her reeling.
Britt may hear about all the latest Dalton drama and shock Jason with the news that she witnessed Sidwell killing him.
It’s Britt’s word against Sidwell’s, but she could make a pretty compelling case against him that makes sense to the cops.
That’s especially true if Britt finally decides to come clean about the whole shady operation.
Then again, there might be another path to helping Sonny and Laura if Britt knows where Sidwell keeps his dirt.
Britt might be able to steal the incriminating photos and the murder weapon so that Jason can get rid of them forever.
Britt will be risking her life any way you slice it if she goes up against Sidwell, particularly because her medication doses could go away.
Nevertheless, the show had Britt witness Dalton’s horrific demise for a reason.
Britt will no doubt be part of this Jason, Sonny and Laura mess sooner or later, so stay tuned.
