General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) deadly exit could rock Port Charles. Will Jon Lindstrom get an official departure story and wrap up Kevin’s time on the show permanently?

Now that Lindstrom is playing Joey Armstrong on Beyond the Gates, he’s had trouble fitting GH in his schedule.

BTG films in Atlanta and keeps Lindstrom busy, so there are good reasons why Kevin spent so long off canvas.

Although Lindstrom can work on both shows since he’s not under contract, it’s been a struggle to find the time to continue his role as Kevin.

That said, it’s easy to see why Lindstrom jumped at the chance to trade General Hospital for Beyond the Gates since they’re giving him far more to do.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Lindstrom addressed that fact.

“In all fairness to me, it had whittled down to about one or two shows a month, so Kevin had been fairly inactive for a long time,” Lindstrom said. “I haven’t seen him have a really active story since the show Port Charles, or unless Ryan [Chamberlain, Kevin’s twin] was around, so it was kind of a no-brainer.”

It’s clear that Beyond the Gates is Jon Lindstrom’s priority now, which is understandable since he’s getting more material over there.

GH finally managed to stack multiple episodes over a couple days, so Lindstrom was willing to make the trip and film Kevin’s latest comeback.

However, it’s obvious that isn’t something Lindstrom can do frequently.

We could be looking at another year-long absence where Kevin is at conferences and getting voicemails off-screen.

At some point, it might be better to send Kevin out with a bang and give him a proper exit storyline.

In fact, the show may have just set one up now that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has threatened Kevin’s life.

It would certainly raise the stakes of this hot plot if Sidwell targets Kevin with fatal results.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) begged Kevin not to cross Sidwell again, but he may not listen and could face grisly consequences.
