General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) may deliver a fatal order that rocks the Corinthos family. Does Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) have another medical emergency ahead?

In GH’s January 26 episode, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) worked to convince Cullum that Sonny posed a threat to their business.

Since Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) been lulled into thinking he’s got a grip on Sonny, Marco went behind his back to deal with this.

Cullum obviously suspected revenge could be on Marco’s mind, but Marco insisted this was about protecting the project.

With that in mind, Marco thinks they need to remove Sonny from the equation.

What happens if Cullum decides Marco is right?

Cullum is clearly the kind of guy who’s willing to take action and get things done, so Sonny could be at risk of a fatal attack on his life.

Sonny has faced more than his fair share of scares in recent years, but another disturbing incident could be in his future.

If Cullum gives a fatal order, Sonny could indeed find himself seriously injured and barely clinging to survival.

Sonny will presumably pull through in the end if Cullum goes after him, but the Corinthos family could still be hit hard by all the drama.

If Sonny has a near-death experience, his loved ones will face a very familiar nightmare.

Assuming Sonny lives to fight back, Cullum could become his new enemy.

Sonny could perhaps nail down who’s responsible with Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) help and make it his mission to wipe Cullum off the map.

Of course, there could be some confusion in the meantime about who’s to blame for this hit on Sonny.

Sidwell or even Marco could be suspected, but Sonny could uncover the Cullum truth eventually and plan to retaliate.

Sonny tends to end up locking horns with any villain who takes hold in Port Charles, so there are good reasons to believe he’ll go up against Cullum sooner or later.

It’s just a matter of time until Sonny and Cullum’s rivalry erupts.
