General Hospital Monday, September 29 Recap: Gun That Shot Drew Traced – Britt Rattled Over Nathan Reunion
General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, September 29, reveals that the gun used to shoot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was tied to the Quartermaine address while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was rattled over her Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) reunion.
At GH, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) introduced herself to Nathan and filled him in on Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) saving her life as her bone marrow donor.
Nathan was pleased to have a niece and looked forward to meeting his son as well.
Meanwhile, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) summoned Britt and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to inform them that Nathan was alive.
Liesl was skeptical at first, but she believed it the moment she saw Nathan for herself and ran into his arms as a result.
Nathan insisted Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) shooting him was the last thing he remembered and tried to ask Obrecht about James West (Gary James Fuller), but Britt said he needed to rest.
Liesl prompted Britt to hug Nathan, so she gave him a quick embrace and welcomed him back awkwardly.
At Bobbie’s, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) broke the news to James about his father being alive – though they didn’t have any real answers about how this was possible.
James struggled to believe it at first, but he eventually seemed to come around on the idea.
However, Spinelli assured James that he didn’t have to meet Nathan if he wasn’t ready.
Back at the hospital, Britt looked alarmed as James showed up with Spinelli and Felicia.
Nearby, Nina pushed Willow for a truce, but Willow refused.
Although Nina pointed out that they at least needed each other for the sake of an alibi, Willow argued that Nina was the one who really needed one.
Nina insisted Willow was in the same boat and also could’ve wanted Drew dead.
At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, Ava Jerome (Maura West) forced Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) to take another sleeping pill before joining Alexis upstairs.
Ric spit the pill out and worked on getting out of his restraints once he was alone.
After Ava exited, Alexis was on a phone call with her assistant when Ric secretly emerged from the basement and glared at her from behind.
In Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office, she relayed some interesting information to ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) about Drew’s case.
According to the ballistics report, the bullet markings matched to a gun from a previous crime – one that Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle) had been accused and exonerated of committing.
Since the gun was still part of the registered collection at the Quartermaine address, Anna and ADA Turner talked about who had access.
Anna also felt that if the Quartermaines scored this info, they’d stop at nothing to protect one of their own.
In the Quartermaine crypt, the woman Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was confronting introduced herself as Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) younger sister, Veronica Bard (Erika Sleazak) – though she said Tracy could call her “Ronnie.”
Tracy recalled finding out about Ronnie when she researched Monica many years ago.
However, Monica herself never mentioned Ronnie, so Tracy assumed it was because she didn’t want Ronnie in her life.
Ronnie argued that things had changed between them due to the letters they’d been writing over the last year.
After Ronnie made excuses for the previous estrangement, she hoped to meet Monica’s family and extend her condolences.
Tracy made it clear that wasn’t happening, so Ronnie agreed to leave the premises for the time being.
That said, Ronnie ominously suspected that Tracy might not be entitled to everything she thought she was entitled to.
Inside the Quartermaine mansion, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) summoned Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and Molly Lansing (Kristen Vaganos), so they were surprised to find Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) with him when they arrived.
Michael claimed Jacinda just stopped by to extend her condolences.
Jacinda faced questions about the nature of her relationship with Michael, so she talked about them clicking and getting to know each other.
Afterward, Molly spoke with Kristina alone and felt that was an obvious setup meant to shore up Michael’s alibi.
Back with Jacinda, she wasn’t sure if Molly and Kristina bought that. Michael was appreciative of the help, even if he worried his alibi might fall apart.
General Hospital spoilers say Michael will keep doing whatever he can to stay out of trouble, so stay tuned for updates on his next move.
