General Hospital Monday, January 5 Recap: Ezra’s Jacinda Testimony Ruins Michael’s Alibi

General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, January 5, reveals that Ezra Boyle’s (Daniel Cosgrove) truth ruined Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) alibi. Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) also had a money bag exit plan for Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell), but it ultimately went wrong!

At GH, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) informed Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) that she’d be taking over Portia’s case now that her medical license had been reinstated.

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) interrupted with paternity test pressure, but Portia insisted on delaying it because it would stress her out and make it riskier for the baby.

After Portia’s exam, she opened up to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) about telling Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) that she hoped he was the father.

After all the drama with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), now Portia was rooting for Curtis to be the bio dad.

Curtis tried to get Britt to schedule a paternity test, but Isaiah popped up by the elevator to shut Curtis down.

Britt made it clear that Portia would be the one to decide when the test would happen.

At home, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) gave Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) news on Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) veiled threat against Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kieran Barry) and convinced him to take Ace to Dublin after accepting the job offer.

Outside Bobbie’s, Kristina pushed Jacinda to take the bag of money she was offering and leave town for a fresh start somewhere else.

Jacinda realized Kristina found out something from Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) that made it clear things wouldn’t go well for Jacinda or Michael if she took the stand.

Although Jacinda got on board with leaving, she later looked at the bracelet Michael gave her and looked pensive before dashing to the courthouse.

In the courtroom, Alexis put Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) on the stand and highlighted the fact that he intervened on Michael’s behalf when he was on trial for killing Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Joy Brown).

ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) got Dante to explain things a bit and suggested it sounded like he was just advocating for the punishment to fit the crime.

Next, Ezra took the stand and was questioned about what he told Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) at the Brown Dog Bar on election night.

Alexis also had a check-in sheet from the Raven Motel, so Ezra wound up admitting he took Jacinda there and paid for her services during the time frame when Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) got shot.

Justine tried to act like maybe Ezra confused it for one of the other nights he had with Jacinda, but he recalled it was the night of the shooting because Jacinda had been out of town for a while up to then.

Even so, ADA Turner focused on the fact that Ezra had no proof.

Michael was blindsided over Ezra’s testimony and told Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that he needed to find Jacinda.

Outside the courtroom, Jacinda cornered Michael and said they needed to get out of town with the kids.

Michael admitted the jury already heard testimony that they weren’t together at the time of the shooting,

Suddenly, the bailiff ushered Jacinda inside since they were ready for her on the stand.

Jacinda was forced to testify and looked rattled when Alexis asked her if she was with Michael at the time of the shooting.

At Bobbie’s, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) played innocent during a conversation with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), who thought maybe Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) wasn’t in Port Charles anymore after all.

Brennan assumed Valentin still wanted revenge on him and speculated that he might be recruiting other people for help.

Carly asked who in their right mind would help Valentin!

An upset Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) interrupted and admitted she was concerned about Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

Other than a voicemail and a pic that was texted to her, Emma hadn’t had any contact with Anna since she went on her hush-hush WSB mission.

Emma couldn’t call back since the number was blocked, so she sought Brennan’s assistance getting in touch with Anna.

Brennan was in the dark on the details of Anna’s case, but he got Emma to send him the pic so he could do some digging.

After Emma took off, Carly suggested that maybe Valentin reached out to Anna for help, but Brennan doubted that Anna would’ve committed treason for him.

Once Brennan was alone, he made a phone call to look into Anna’s situation for Emma.

Britt popped up, so Brennan acknowledged that he’d kept his end of the bargain by getting her medical license reinstated.

Now Brennan expected Britt to do her part and get him the data from the lab.

At the Quartermaine stables, Danny Morgan (Asher Antoynzyn) caught Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) with a saddle and grilled her, so she admitted she saw her dad on Christmas Eve at Carly’s place.

Charlotte didn’t have details on Valentin and Carly’s connection, but she wanted to see her dad again.

That’s why Charlotte planned to ride a horse through the woods over to Carly’s house while the police were stuck outside the gate.

Danny had a better idea and took Charlotte over there on his motorbike, so it wasn’t long until she appeared in Carly’s attic.

Valentin hugged Charlotte, but he was alarmed over her coming to see him again since it was so risky.

Charlotte talked about her troubling conversation with Sidwell, so Valentin wanted her to stay away from him since he was dangerous.

Valentin had some things to do before they could be together for good, so he got Charlotte to promise she wouldn’t come back and that she’d wait for his signal.

Later, Carly came back up to the attic and found Valentin with a packed duffel bag since he needed to leave.

Back with Danny and Charlotte, he gave her updates on Sidwell trying to kill Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in Africa.

Charlotte hinted about a way to help Valentin, so Danny wanted to pitch in.

General Hospital spoilers say Charlotte and Danny could be headed for some tight spots, so stay tuned!
