General Hospital Monday, February 16 Recap: Jason Decodes Britt’s Message – Nathan’s Empty Grave Rocks Maxie

General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, February 16, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was able to decode Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) message while Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) empty grave rocked Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).

At GH, Britt and Nathan were debating the Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) situation when Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) suddenly appeared and revealed that Maxie was awake.

Although Obrecht wanted Nathan to call Maxie, Britt pushed her mom to dial it down and give them both some time.

It could be a disastrous shock if Maxie wasn’t in the loop yet and Nathan phoned her.

Nathan also needed a chance to process this news and headed off to do that alone.

However, Liesl assured Britt that Nathan belonged with Maxie and played up how fleeting time could be.

In Boston, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) gave Maxie updates on Nathan showing up in a car accident six months ago with no memory of his seven years away.

Felicia pointed out that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) proved it was Nathan through DNA and fingerprint evidence.

Nathan’s grave was also exhumed, so Maxie reeled over there being no body.

Maxie learned that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was back as well, so she knew it couldn’t be a coincidence that two of Faison’s children were back at the same time.

Felicia gushed over Nathan being just as wonderful as before and insisted he was two peas in a pod with James West (Gary James Fuller) now.

Maxie was overwhelmed and tired after the big day she’d had, but she was terrified about falling back into a coma if she went to sleep.

Felicia reassured Maxie and held her hand until she drifted off.

After Felicia took Nathan’s call, she let him know that they’d be heading back to Port Charles tomorrow and that Maxie was eager to see him.

At the Metro Court, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) filled Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in on Molly’s new book and all the problems it had stirred up with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).

Kristina and Molly later headed to the hatchet-throwing range, where they found Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) on a date with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) on a date with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).

Once Ric tumbled into the floor after one of his throws, Elizabeth shared a laugh with him and seemed willing to go on more dates.

Molly looked delighted as Liz and Ric enjoyed a kiss.

At Brown Dog Bar, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) joined Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) at a table and told him that Maxie was awake.

Since Maxie moved on with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and would now have to face Nathan’s return, Chase wondered what Brook Lynn would do if she faced that same dilemma.

Brook Lynn suggested she’d feel sorry for the other guy since her heart would always belong to Chase.

At the bar nearby, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) complained to Jason about Michael giving Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) too much time with the kids in the custody compromise.

Carly also didn’t like that Ric was involved in the case and disagreed with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who claimed Ric didn’t have an agenda.

Once Spinelli interrupted to say Maxie had awoken, he had a conversation with Jason alone.

Spinelli was concerned about Maxie getting back together with Nathan, but Jason gave him a pep talk and thought Maxie might surprise him.

After Jason got a text that consisted of a boat, a snowflake and a heart, he cracked Britt’s code and joined her at the harbormaster’s cabin.

Britt didn’t want to waste any time together, so they kissed as they headed for the bed.

Back at Brown Dog Bar, Liesl popped up beside Spinelli and ordered a drink.

Once Obrecht thanked Spinelli for looking after Maxie and her family, she insisted he didn’t have to any longer and played up Maxie’s inevitable reunion with Nathan.

At the Metro Court again, Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) had an awkward Valentine’s Day celebration with Sidwell.

Carly eventually appeared and thanked Sidwell for opening his home to her since she was able to patch things up with Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).

Sidwell acted like it was his pleasure since he was all about making Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) happy.

Alexis shared a moment alone with Ava and seemed wary of her involvement with Sidwell.

However, Ava refused to let Lucy or anyone else run her off.

While Ava convinced Sidwell to head to the gallery with her, Carly cornered Alexis to discuss her representation of Willow in the custody case.

Carly admitted she could respect that Alexis was doing everything in her power to keep Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) with her.

At Wyndemere, Lucas called Marco out on the conversations he’d overheard about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and the life-threatening predicament that Britt was forced into.

Lucas tried to leave at one point, but Marco reached for his arm and snapped that he wasn’t going anywhere.

After Lucas warned Marco to get his hands off him, Marco took a calmer approach and tearfully tried to explain his perspective.

Lucas felt manipulated into moving into Wyndemere because of Sidwell’s project, but Marco claimed he truly loved him and wanted to build a life together.

That said, Marco admitted he’d relented on getting more involved with Sidwell’s work because of Sonny, who he still blamed for Natalia Ramirez’s (Eva LaRue) demise.

Marco pushed Lucas to put himself in the same situation, so Lucas confessed that he’d want justice.

However, that was different from the revenge that Marco was craving.

Since Lucas warned that Marco couldn’t have both him and payback, Marco chose Lucas – though he insisted he had to wrap up this project with Sidwell first.

Lucas took Marco’s hand and embraced him, but he still looked uneasy over Marco’s shoulder.

General Hospital spoilers say more danger is brewing in Lucas and Marco’s storyline, so stay tuned!
