General Hospital Friday, November 7 Recap: Sidwell’s Death Is Sonny’s Last Resort – Mystery Man Stirs Up Trouble
General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, November 7, reveals that Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) death was Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) last resort while a mystery man (Peter Stormare) stirred up trouble.
In Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) office, he shocked Laura Collins (Genie Francis) with the news that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had supposedly been called back into the WSB for a classified operation, so the police commissioner was now unreachable until the op was done.
At Bobbie’s, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) tried playing nice with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), who insisted they weren’t working together and that Emma wouldn’t be allowed in the lab.
Emma was tempted to try stealing the key fob while Britt was on the phone, but she ultimately couldn’t pull it off.
Later, Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) assured Emma that she could get the job done.
Since the mayoral debate was happening tonight, it was the ideal time for the lab break-in.
Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) also spoke with Charlotte about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) being transferred stateside while Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) let Valentin know the same thing during her visit to Steinmauer.
Valentin thought that Carly’s ability to manipulate Brennan into this decision was proof that she was his weak spot.
However, Valentin wanted Carly to be careful since Brennan could go after those she cared about once he found out about her deception.
Despite the risks, Valentin assured Carly that together they could bring Brennan down.
Back at Bobbie’s, Laura complained to Lulu about the Anna situation since Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) could use the police commissioner’s absence against her campaign.
At GH, a mystery man spied on Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) as she dealt with a James West (Gary James Fuller) drop-off crisis over the phone.
That man was seemingly posing as a hospital employee when he handed over some paperwork to Felicia.
After the guy snatched up a pencil that was about to fall on the floor, it got Felicia’s attention.
Felicia called out to man with questions about the file that he’d given to her.
At Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) place, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) left so that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) could speak with Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) privately.
That gave Marco a chance to profess his love and sell Lucas on the idea of moving in Wyndemere with him.
Josslyn made her way back to Jack’s office, where she filled him in on having to leave when Marco arrived with a move-in offer for Lucas.
Although Josslyn wanted to warn Lucas about all the Sidwell danger, Brennan threatened to lock her up for treason if she did.
Brennan also ordered Josslyn to support Lucas move-in with Marco and make him think it was a good plan.
During a meeting about art at Wyndemere, Sidwell spoke to Ava Jerome (Maura West) about his desire for peace with Sonny.
Ava insisted it’d be impossible if Sonny perceived him as a threat to his children.
Later, Sidwell was surprised to find that Britt had slipped in undetected and had been waiting on Ava to leave.
Britt and Sidwell bickered about Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) briefly, but then Lucas arrived with Marco.
Sidwell covered by acting like he’d been on the hunt for a concierge doctor before he found out Britt lost her medical license.
Britt protested that she was working on getting it back and eventually exited, but she stuck around to eavesdrop outside.
Marco gave Sidwell updates on Lucas getting on board with his move-in idea as Britt listened in on the conversation.
At Sonny’s place, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) went over a backup plan regarding the piers, but he acknowledged that eliminating Sidwell would be the easiest way to go.
Sonny rattled off a list of reasons why it’d be risky to wipe Sidwell off the map.
Although killing Sidwell had to be their last resort, Sonny acknowledged his willingness to do it once they ran out of options.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Sidwell’s feud will come with some twists and turns, so stay tuned.
