General Hospital Friday, January 9 Recap: Willow Smirks as Carly Humiliates Drew – Brad Warns Britt of Heartbreak

MacMullen) smirked as Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) humiliated Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) also delivered a heartbreak warning to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), so here’s how Friday’s episode played out.

At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) house, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) showed up to suggest they could use Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) love triangle with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) to their advantage.

Sonny assumed that Sidwell’s interest in Ava was about showing Sonny that he could get to Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

Laura gave Sonny updates on sending Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kiernan Barry) to Dublin with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and hated that she dragged Sonny into the Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) mess.

Sonny had no regrets since he knew Sidwell would’ve made sure Laura landed in legal hot water.

Talk turned to Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and how he would’ve known what to do.

Sonny offered Laura some reassurance since they just had to wait for Sidwell to make a mistake.

At GH, Brad congratulated Britt on getting reinstated as a doctor and inquired about her whereabouts on New Year’s Eve.

Britt admitted she was off kissing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and that she might’ve hit the sheets with him if Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) hadn’t ruined the mood.

Brad warned Britt that she’d inevitably end up heartbroken again and was prepared to comfort her when she refused to listen to him.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) was there to say goodbye to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and return the bag of money that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) had given her.

As for the Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) situation, Jacinda explained that she accepted a last-minute gig that night since she needed the cash.

When Michael came looking for Jacinda’s alibi help, she thought she could keep the truth about Ezra buried.

Jacinda admitted that she eventually worried Michael would have no use for her if she was no longer his alibi.

Since Jacinda wanted to keep spending time with Michael, she kept her mouth shut.

Michael knew he should probably be angry, but he wasn’t and suggested that the night they spent together made things real to him.

After Michael pushed Jacinda to stay in Port Charles, she fell into a kiss with him as she cried.

In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) barged in and blew up over the attorney tricking her in court.

Alexis blamed Tracy for falling for the bluff and implied that an innocent woman was on trial because of Michael.

Tracy scoffed at the idea of Willow being innocent and suggested it was just an act that Willow had weaponized.

While Willow and Drew dined at the Port Charles Grill, the celebratory mood turned sour as Jason and Carly entered.

After Carly and Jason sat down at a table, they discussed concerns about ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) going after Michael if Willow was acquitted.

Drew ultimately approached Jason and Carly, which led to him offering a reminder about Danny Morgan’s (Asher Antonyzyn) restraining order.

Once Drew brought up Willow getting her children back, he predicted that Carly would be begging to see her grandkids and would get the door slammed in her face.

Carly told Drew off and made sure his drink splashed all over him, so Willow smirked in amusement nearby.

In Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) apartment, she talked to Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) about all the evidence against Willow – including the new Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star puzzle piece they’d uncovered.

Trina wanted to take what they knew to the cops, but Kai pointed out they’d face criminal charges of their own.

Even if they could get immunity, Drew would still go after Kai and Trina.

Trina and Kai ultimately decided to take their news to Alexis instead, so they showed up at her office door.

Alexis was taken aback as Trina admitted they knew who shot Drew.

General Hospital spoilers say Trina and Kai will deliver a shocker soon enough, so stay tuned for Alexis’ reaction.
