Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly has reflected on another year in the eponymous village, paying tribute to her beloved co-stars that she says have ‘changed her’ for the better.
The actress, who plays Ruby Miligan on the ITV soap, has been at the centre of many huge storylines since rocking up in the eponymous village almost two years ago.
From a historic sexual abuse story, helmed by powerful performances from all involved, to a murder cover up, Ruby has featured prominently in her time in the village thus far, becoming a firm favourite with fans along the way.
As she approaches two years since her debut, star Beth took some time to reflect on her Emmerdale journey to date – and in particular those who have made it so special for her.
Taking to Instagram, the former The Bill star shared a reel of pictures and videos taken with her co-stars and colleagues, including on-screen hubby William Ash, Lewis Barton star Bradley Riches and Dawn Taylor actress Olivia Bromley.
‘Another year here,’ she wrote in the caption.
‘I am in love with these people (and those I didn’t capture on camera.) You’re golden. And you have all changed me for the better.
‘I love you and I love my job.’
Beth’s social media post soon received a response from co-stars, with Bradley Riches writing: ‘Love YOUU’, while Olivia Bromley commented with; ‘Aw Beth is this cute x’
Aaron Dingle legend Danny Miller posted two red heart emojis in response while Belle Dingle star Eden Taylor-Draper added six silver hearts.
In real-life, Beth is in a relationship with Ian Kesley, who starred in Emmerdale as Dave Glover between 1994 and 1996, and she credits him with helping her with her work.
‘He’s worked with me on the script’, she said in a chat with the Mirror earlier this year.
‘Because we both really enjoy working on things together. To be in a relationship with someone who you can do this with, it’s really special.

‘I’m very lucky’.
Ian previously revealed that was proud of Beth’s work on Ruby’s storyline, which saw the character reveal that her father Anthony had abused her when she was a child.
‘She’s doing such great work, and it’s a deep, dark storyline’, he told Inside Soap.
‘She’s had to step up to the plate and her workload has been huge but she’s doing a brilliant job. I’m so proud of her.’
