Emmerdale SHOCK: Tracy’s Hidden Betrayal Set to Destroy Vanessa—Will Her World Ever Recover? 😱

An emotional exit is looming for Tracy Shankley in Emmerdale, as star Amy Walsh heads off on maternity leave.

The actress is pregnant with her second child. Amy and her partner, Toby Alexander-Smith, already have a daughter together called Bonnie.

In the video which confirmed Amy’s pregnancy, her nephews joined her daughter on a staircase, as text on the screen asked if Bonnie will still be the only girl in the family.

Alongside the sweet video, which clearly showed the family’s elation at the gender reveal, Amy wrote: ‘New addition to the family incoming!’

As the video transitioned to a poolside gathering, the question of whether Amy is having a boy or a girl was answered when a kicked football exploded into a cloud of pink smoke, and the words, ‘Girl power coming in 2026’, appeared on screen.

The arrival of Amy’s little girl means that Tracy will soon leave the village, and out of everyone, the resident could certainly do with a fresh start elsewhere.

Tracy has spent the past couple of years trying to adjust to life as a single mum. In 2024, she believed her partner Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) left for a new job in Shetland. He then stopped contacting Tracy and the rest of his family in the Dales, leaving them confused as to why he had suddenly cut them out of his life.It was revealed in early 2025 that Nate never left the village. He was killed by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) and then thrown into a nearby lake.

Tracy eventually learnt the truth and has worked hard to heal from Nate’s murder while looking after their daughter Frankie. Despite this, though, the village holds a lot of memories for her, so it’s no doubt she’s going to contemplate living elsewhere in future episodes.

In this evening’s instalment, Tracy is seen on the phone a number of times, but doesn’t tell Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) who she’s speaking to.

Not surprising tbh.

There’s a very high chance Tracy is communicating with an estate agent, as next week, sister Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) confronts her about lying about moving house.

Packing up her belongings and starting again elsewhere, of course, gives Tracy the opportunity to return in the future, perhaps when the neighbourhood doesn’t remind her of Nate as much.
