Emmerdale’s Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) was riddled with guilt as she confirmed to mum Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) that she cheated on Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) prior to their wedding.

Gabby and Vinny, as viewers know, tied the knot earlier this week and were excited about the prospect of spending their lives together as they planned for the future.

But just one day into their marriage and a colossal secret has been exposed, with Gabby confirming her infidelity.

Bernice, who arrived back in the village earlier this week, knew that her daughter was keeping a big secret from her husband-to-be, though she failed to get Gabby to confess ahead of tying the knot.

It turns out that Gabby cheated on Vinny while staying with her mum in Portugal earlier this year.

‘It was one stupid drunken mistake’, she told Bernice. ‘I was stressed about the wedding. And those cocktails are lethal.’

Speaking from experience, Bernice reminded Gabby that not only will she have to live with her betrayal but that it will likely come out ‘in the wash’.

Gabby proceeded to blame Bernice for her infidelity, which led to her mum storming out of the flat and seeking comfort from Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw).

The question is: will Gabby come clean?

According to spoilers for next week, she is adamant that keeping shtum is for the best as she confides in Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) about what she’s done.

Laurel is horrified by Gabby’s decision to take her secret to the grave but Gabby is adamant and thus turns her attention to Vinny adopting Thomas.

Speaking of Vinny, it’s worth remembering that he too harbours a secret.

The young Dingle bravely reported thug Mike to the police on the morning of the wedding.

Mike, as fans will recall, was a user that confused Vinny met on an LGBTQ+ forum, who recorded their private conversations and used them to blackmail thousands out of him – after violently attacking him.

Vinny kept quiet about the ordeal at first but ultimately he decided to tell the police everything after Mike showed up and threatened to out him at his wedding if he failed to pay him more money.
