Coronation Street Sam star teases character’s next step and it’s bad news for Megan
Coronation Street has been airing a harrowing grooming storyline involving Megan Walsh.
So far, the athletics coach and teacher has managed to keep her inappropriate relationship with teenager Will Driscoll hidden.
However, fellow student Sam Blakeman has started to be suspicious of her, suspecting Megan is grooming school pal Will, as he vows to get evidence.
In scenes earlier this week, Megan, who is threatened by Sam and her secret being exposed, managed to get rid of his school essay. Sam was left furious as teacher Daniel Osbourne, who Megan is using a cover boyfriend without him knowing, said his work was missing and he would have a late mark, realising Megan was behind this.
Things went from bad to worse when Sam had to sit at the same table as Megan at Eva Price’s birthday meal at the Bistro. At the bar, Megan spoke to Will, who was at the same meal, while Sam watched them like a hawk.
During the scene, Megan told Will: “Don’t worry about that little snitch… I’m on it!” while Sam was seen watching them in the background.

Taking to Instagram following the episode, Sam star Jude Riordan shared a picture of the scene, writing: “Always watching, Wazowski”, making a nod of the scene in 2001 film Monsters, Inc.
It comes as in upcoming scenes, Megan approaches Sam and tells him she’s concerned about his work and offers him extra help. Later, Megan plants the seed in Daniel’s mind that Sam hates her and tells him that she offered him some help with his coursework, but he threw it back in her face.
In spoilers for next week, Sam tells Daniel that with Leanne Battersby away, he’s intending to revise in the salon flat. Meanwhile, Megan takes a call from Will and informs him that she’s got the flat to herself for a few nights.
Will lies to dad Ben Driscoll, making out that his mate Ethan has invited him over to stay the night but Ben refuses to let him go. When Daniel calls at the Rovers and reluctantly apologises to Will, Ben’s impressed by Will’s maturity when he shakes Daniel’s hand and tells him he can stay at his mate’s after all.
Later, Will approaches the salon flat carrying his holdall while Sam watches as Megan buzzes him in. Is Sam getting closer to the truth?
Determined to get the truth, Sam lets himself into the salon flat and startles Megan. With Megan gone, Sam clears some space on a shelf while Megan tells Will about Sam, how he let himself into the flat and they need to get him on side. Will forms a plan…
Later in the week, Sam is thrilled to finally log onto his hidden camera app and see Megan and Will enter the flat. However, it’s soon revealed that Nick has Sam’s phone, which is out of battery.
As the week ends, Megan grabs a quiet word with Sam and spells out that if he ever decides to blab, nobody will believe him as he’s not as clever as he thinks. Having recharged his phone, Sam watches the video from the hidden camera. Does he have his proof?
